I found these pics of my neighborhood. The water has finally gone down. But we still can't go to our homes to assess damage for another 2 -3 weeks. Someone with access took the pictures and posted them on the internet.

 

This one is a home around the corner which was lifted off its foundation and deposited in the middle of the street.

My house is the third one down thru the trees.

The median used to be lined with beautiful Bradford Pear trees. They are gone now.

This is a house about 8 doors down. A tornado blew through. The house that was across the street from it is completely gone.

I guess the good news is that your house is still standing. Have you heard from or tried to cotact your employer? Just curious if they have even a rough timeframe of when they'll try to start to rebuild or relocate. Hang in there man.

I still don't understand why you didn't just hook it up to the trailer hitch on your car and drive it up to Texas.

 

There's a reason it's called a mobile home. Dunno.
