GEEK status vs rook

OK, I am bugged about a couple things. Let me vent:

 

For the 3rd year in a row I've had to endure the sarcastic "rook" treatment in response to a few of my posts by geeks who think they invented fantasy football.

 

Every year, I change my email because of excessive spam and/or can't remember my password from the year before - like most people I have about 50 passwords to different work and personal sites - so I have to re-register all over and go through the rook to geek thing. so I've been a rook and a geek each year.

 

To me, the content and the tone of the post is what is important, not the label.

2nd vent: Many posts here exceed sarcasm and are just rude! Personal attacks are totally uncalled-for. I have noticed MANY threads that start out on a topic and degenerate into total namecalling.

 

3rd vent: People who insist on quoting a long entire text and then responding to just a sentence of it. Most of the time there is no need to quote the text of the author's subject - just make your response. Also qoute within a quote within a quote ad nauseum. WHYYYYYY?????????

 

Lastly, I have often seen people asking about information about injuries, news, etc., after the information is readily available because they are too lazy to read through free KFFL and rotoworld. DO IT YOURSELF! You only show your ignorance and laziness if you come on this site and ask Moose and everybody else to do it for you. Now if you are looking for 'homer' info, this is an appropriate forum for inside stuff not readily available through common sources.

 

LAST BUT NOT LEAST: I would personally favor doing away with the help board because it doesn't work....few people respond there and so people come here anyway! You don't have to open a help question if you don't want to read it!

Quit bitching!!!! My personal opinion (and opinions ARE like ###### - everybody is entitled to one) is that I would much rather legitimately help somebody than respond to stuff like "what do you do for a living" or "Patrick Pass - what is his value".

 

Semi-final thought: I HATE PEOPLE WHO USE THIS BOARD TO RANT ABOUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS BOARD.

 

Final thought: The regulars here need to establish a money pool. The one that guesses closest to the time the board crashes on Sunday splits the pot with the one who guesses closest to the time it comes back up.

First off, that had way too much reading. Is this a college thesis or what?

 

Second, its bored, not board you newbie toolbox. I don't care how long you have been here, if you can't follow the lingo of the mange bored, then you are a newbie.

 

Third, again, let me repeat that you posted way to much for everyone to read.

 

Fourth, write your password down or something. You think you are the only one that has a bunch of friggin passwords to remember. Here's a tip, make it the first guy you blew, I know you will never forget that guys name.

 

Lastly, don't complain about people being rude, most of the time people are only rude and sarcastic to people who are stupid. Maybe that is why people are being so rude to you. If you want to hold hands and sing and be happy, you came to the wrong place. We are mean here most of the time, mainly to stupid people, except scooter who is just mean anyway. Don't be a douche, its threads like this one that you started that cause people to be mean in the first place.
