swandown 0 Posted October 27, 2005 Through a series of add/drops and trades this week, my roster now consists of: QB: P. Manning, Bledsoe RB: Portis, M. Anderson, M. Moore, F. Taylor, L. Johnson WR: Owens, Moss, Galloway, J. Smith, K. Curtis TE: Crumpler D: Chicago However, I don't have a kicker! And my TE has a bye this week. What do I do? Normally I would just cut Curtis, but with Bruce and Holt out, I just can't bring myself to do it. I'd cut Bledsoe but I need him this week. LJ is also an option but I would kick myself the rest of the year if Priest went down. Any suggestions? I'm at the point where I'm actually offering lopsided trades (Galloway/Crumpler for Shockey) just to clear up roster space! BTW, this is a 10-team league where we start 2RB/2WR/1flex. I got VERY lucky on draft day.

BradtheBold 0 Posted October 27, 2005 Any suggestions? Yeah, I suggest you post this on the help board.
Guest brownhelmets Posted October 27, 2005 Maybe you should trade three of your good players for one awesome player. That would free up a couple spots. Look to upgrade at RB.

First and Long 0 Posted October 27, 2005 Drop Manning. He's obviously a bust this year.
JediMaster 20 Posted October 27, 2005 This should be on the help board but........ Your Rb's are NOT that great. Like brownhelmets said, just trade like a 2 for 1 deal and get a better Rb.
swandown 0 Posted October 27, 2005 Your Rb's are NOT that great. I already traded S. Jackson in Week 3 for Owens & Taylor. Thought I had a steal at the time, but I don't need Owens now.
swandown 0 Posted October 27, 2005 Okay, I just offered Owens/M. Moore/Crumpler for T. Jones/Shockey. CRAZY!
Busted by the Feds 9 Posted October 27, 2005 If you can trade M. Anderson and L. Johnson (both part of a RBBC) for a clear # 1 RB on a team, that would free up some spots.

Reason I say not that great because besides Portis..... M. Anderson basically splits with Bell M. Moore is in a struggling Minny offense F. Taylor is kinda banged up - I realize now that you traded for him to get Owens L. Johnson is in a RBBC with Holmes If you say you don't need Owens package him with either Anderson or Taylor to upgrade.

Busted by the Feds 9 Posted October 27, 2005 What JediMaster said. And targeting T Jones is a good example, as he is the clear # 1 RB in Chicago (and their main offensive option right now).
Agamemnon 2 Posted October 27, 2005 Okay, I just offered Owens/M. Moore/Crumpler for T. Jones/Shockey. CRAZY! Methinks you over-value your own players too much. In my ESPN league, Shockey is the #2 TE and T. Jones is the #5 RB. You think you're going to get them for TO, a lower tier RB (MeMo) and a worthless TE (Crumpler)? There are lots of WRs having years as good as TO; nobody's going to give up two "priority position" stars for TO...

I don't believe Crumpler is worthless as long as Vick is playing.

I still don't think it's a good trade offer tho for the other guy, even considering it's Alge....

The guy loses 2.5 points per game "downgrading" from #3 to #2. 2. Owens is the #3 WR in my league. So, no, not too many WRs are having as good a year as him. Whatever....you're the one saying you were offering "crazy good trades" to clear some roster space. Depending on what his roster looks like, I don't see that trade as benefitting the other party. Good luck to you...

Theyhateme459 0 Posted October 28, 2005 That is a dumb Trade offer!!! Come on man you say you got to much talent?? You need to play matchups if you have the ability too, and you never know about injuries. I would trade L.J. Fred Taylor, and Galloway (New QB value still high) for an upgrade at RB and 2 garbage players. Then cut thoes 2 players to pick up your 2 players off of waivers. Simple.
