Eagles

No need to apologize, you didn't get on my bad side or anything. I just wanted to clear up who and what I was talking about. But thanks anyway, that was a stand up move (rare around these parts sometimes).

As for being discouraged that seems to be the majority of the fans views. I too expected them to be a little more 'active' in FA, but I'm witholding judgement until later. They make make some moves during the draft that'll fill these spots. We'll see.

Quit crying. Front office rolls this way every year outside of the year they sprung for TO and Kearse.

Eagles will be fine. Gaffney is better than people think.

We just need to snag a SLB to compete w/ Dhani. Everything else can and will be addressed during the draft.

Who needs to overpay for big name FA's? You don't hear Pitt o New England Fans crying.

Yo Force, don't throw me under the bus just to kiss and make up with Homer......

Thanks!

Wasnt a knock bro....You just seem a little fixated on Eskin...and I dont come here to talk about that clown

but if your an Eagles fan...it automatically makes you a person of high character in my book

These are the kind of Eagles fans Im talking about....Everything is fine?....Gaffney averaged a little over 8 yards a catch last year...is he competant?...sure...is he going to make a difference...probably not...

Plus way too much "we bring guys into compete for positions"...If you have the money at this point and your plan A went into the toilet then its time to do something else with the money that you do have...

Julian Peterson would look good in Green....

Lastly..this team doesnt draft that great for me to say that everything else can be addressed in the draft...they have had one very good draft in 02 and everything else has been marginal.

It's funny, here we have two Eagle fans that represent the types of people that call into Eskin's (and others) show. On one side, we have Force who feels that the Eagles haven't done much (or anything really) in free agency, despite a lot of pre-FA hype, not only on the radio, but on TV and in the print media.

On the other hand, we have What who thinks that everything is okay, the Eagles know what they are doing, they have their bases covered, if they don't make it in FA, they'll plug any holes or any needs in the draft.

It's a perfect dichotomy. I swear I'm stuck in the middle. I too think the Eagles might have fallen short of their FA goals (but did any of us really know what they wanted) and I'm not to assured of their drafting capabilities, but then again, I trust they know what they're doing and whatever moves they make, the Eagles will be a strong post season contender.

DS....I dont think that the sky is falling but I dont like being sold that everything is going to be alright becuase a nut is out of our locker room and we wont be as injured next year....Yes we went to 4 straight NFC Championships but this defense isnt as good as those and now this offense will be back to dink and dunk like they were from 00-03.

And there is plenty of money left over but no one to spend it on.

You are exactly right Force, now YOU seem like a REAL Eagles fan. Unlike that other guy I have promised not to mention.

Real Philly Fans KEEP IT REAL!

So you're kind of in the middle like me. I don't think all of their problems are over with either, but two of the major ones are gone. TO and McNabb's injuries. Sure there are questions at defense, but they made some decent additions at line and LB. Howard will be a nice complement to Kearse.

But at least we're not all whiney and b|tchy about everything. :first:

Can't be said any better. If Pinkston is our #1 the term dink and dunk may become 3 and out. We had better run the ball this year. Sad part is... we can still run it well if Reid would let them.
