Laptop battery care

Recommended Posts

Complete coincidence that I'm posting this right next to the other laptop question...

What's the best way to care for a laptop battery? I've got a laptop now, and it's the first one I've ever had. It's a refurbished corporate lease computer - a Dell Latitude c600. Is it okay to leave it plugged in for a day or two if I don't need to take it anyplace, or should I unplug it?

Great link. Thanks. This is probably the best advice in there, and something I wouldn't have thought of:

"Consider removing the battery from a laptop when running on fixed power."

I'll probably pull my battery out next time I go upstairs. It just slides right out, so it's easy enough.
