SmartassBoiler 0 Posted March 24, 2006 Given the Patriots only had like 2 WRs on their active roster, I'd say he's pretty valuable. I wonder where they're going to look for WR help because that's a glaring hole on that team right now. Branch, Bethel Johnson, and Troy Brown are not going to get it done. I wonder where they're going to look for WR help because that's a glaring hole on that team right now. Branch, Bethel Johnson, and Troy Brown are not going to get it done. when discussing the NE receivers, do not forget Ben Watson and Daniel Graham. Branch is their #1/stretch the field WR. Brown is a decent/crafty #3. Bethel isn't worth a whole lot right now... he's got speed but hasn't proven himself to be worthy of much playing time. Reche Caldwell ??? can this guy be a #2? NE needs a #2 WR and some veteran depth. Are #2 WRs that tough to find? After June 1st, there will be tons of David Patten/Tim Dwight type guys out there. I expect NE will sign a stable full of them, make it a competition for the last 2 (or 3) spots.
