dcOne 2 Posted April 5, 2006 Texans would toast either after this offseason there having then the draft. Next Question? I'm kinda thinking the top NCAA team would beat the top CFL team most of the time also.
Shockey fan 0 Posted April 5, 2006 Totally different games - cannot really compare the two - IMHO
veebs4 2 Posted April 5, 2006 At least this isn't the annual "Do you think the <<INSERT TOP COLLEGE TEAM HERE>> can beat the <<INSERT WORST NFL TEAM HERE>>?" thread. Don't know much about the CFL, but I think you should be able to compare the NCAA to the CFL. How different can the rules be (Other than the size of the field)? I would have to imagine the top CFL team could beat the best in the NCAA, but I have no idea what kind of quality they up there, especially now with NFL Europe. PistolPete2432 0 Posted April 5, 2006 No college team would ever beat any NFL team not a chance no matter how bad you think the texans actually are
Walter34 3 Posted April 5, 2006 If its CFL rules: Texans, CFL, College NFL Rules: Texans, College, CFL
veebs4 2 Posted April 5, 2006 The posters question is clearly University of Texas or USC versus the top CFL team (NOT the NFL Texans). Also, besides the field, what are the major rule differences between the CFL and the NCAA? By the responses so far, it appears that the CFL's talent pool has gotten watered down by NFL Europe. Pre-NFL Europe, I would say this poll would have been a runaway for the CFL. This is interesting....
Larry David 20 Posted April 5, 2006 If its CFL rules: Texans, CFL, College NFL Rules: Texans, College, CFL I could be wrong, but I think the original question referred to the Texas Longhorns and not the Houston Texans.
Blitzen 0 Posted April 5, 2006 Quincy Carter will be a backup in the CFL. That's how bad a pick he was. Agree with Walter on his rankings. Various rule differences: 3 downs instead of 4 One more player on O and D O players can motion towards the line before the snap Larger field
