shovelheadt 71 Posted May 1, 2006 bennie brazell, kevin mcmahan, delanie walker, and ethan kilmer over greg lee, martin nance, hank baskett, miles austin...? who are they missing out on...? Is this some sort of dig towards the Bengals. I would find it difficult for any one of us to critique two 7th round picks by any team.

Eriadoc 4 Posted May 3, 2006 Dwayne Slay, S, Texas Tech. I stated this in another thread as well. I watched four or five of his games this year and he's a beast. He ran a 4.85 at the combine, which is abysmally slow for a safety, but he didn't seem to play slow against Texas, OK, A&M, or the couple other games I watched (I think one was Colorado, forgot the other). So it might have just been a bad day for him at the combine, who knows. At any rate, I said all along he was a second day guy, but could end up being someone worth keeping an eye on. dabxgreat1 0 Posted May 3, 2006 anwar phillips CB Penn State Good nickle back with return skills, was projected high but never got his name called for some reason.
cortezthekiller303 0 Posted May 3, 2006 Jahmile Addae, SS, West Virginia - he has the size, and hits like a sledgehammer...but ran a 4.83 40 and plays way too aggessively and can't cover tight ends, well NFL Tight Ends anyway...I thought he some team would take a 7th round flyer on him, but no. Trainer1 0 Posted May 3, 2006 bennie brazell, kevin mcmahan, delanie walker, and ethan kilmer over greg lee, martin nance, hank baskett, miles austin...? who are nfl teams missing out on...? Brazell was drafted in the 7th by CIN. For pure speed only. Did he run in the combine? I know he ran the 800m or 400m on the Athens USA olympic team. Came in 8th I think. In the second they got Whitworth and picked up the LSU gaurd Nate Livings through FA.
