swamp dog 0 Posted May 3, 2006 and it gets better: the packers pick #1 overall, the bears #4 overall, lions #7 overall, and vikings #9 overall that's not mathematically possible, but i digress... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedi...content.1.html#
esoitl 0 Posted May 3, 2006 come now, its prefectly sensible to predict a division winner having a 5-11 record
swamp dog 0 Posted May 3, 2006 come now, its prefectly sensible to predict a division winner having a 5-11 record i'm pretty sure if you win your division and make the playoffs...the lowest you could draft would be the early teens (or something like that)
Vikings4ever 557 Posted May 3, 2006 i'm pretty sure if you win your division and make the playoffs...the lowest you could draft would be the early teens (or something like that) Nope, playoffs only are taken into consideration as a tie breaker. The 2004 Vikes were 8-8, and made the playoffs, same for the Rams. The 2004 Jaguars were 9-7, didn't make the playoffs. In 2005, both the Vikes and Rams picked before the Jags. Vikes were 10-6, the rest 9-7, and the Bucs 6-10. None of them made it to the Conference finals.

Nelson Muntz 0 Posted May 3, 2006 Trying to predict where teams will finish after this year before mimi camps even open is pure foolishness. Last year the "experts" were predicting the Bears at about 4-12. Arizona was a sleeper pick to make the playoffs, Houston was thought to be an 8-8 team by many, Miami was viewed as a 4-6 win team, and the list goes on. Every year, even on the cusp of the opening weekend of football, nobody really knows how things will turn out and for the "experts" to try to predict something like this, this far in advance, is nonsense. They must have been real desperate for filler materiel to publish this. And as has been pointed out, it was even poorly researched as far as the draft slot of the projected NFC North winner. They should bury their heads in shame for even publishing this article.
yojimbo81 0 Posted May 3, 2006 That was odd. A whole division in the top 10? But the Packers picking first I can see happening. I say the Pack is 3-13 at best this season.
