i'm thinking that it may take longer to do the draft than 4 hours apiece, but i don't know that for sure. they're really no hurry to get through it, i would think, but everyone can speak for themselves. i think that yahoo has a random draft selector, but whichever one we use, it would be great to get that set so we can develop our draft strategies.

just noticed that there are no negatives for getting sacked, fumbles, or interceptions. are we going to have these in our league? also, we we include punt/kick return yardage on special teams?

 

I've never seen a QB get penalized for getting sacked - that seems silly. It's the O-Line's fault, not the QB. I would vote against that.

 

I do think fumbles should be -1, and fumbles lost another -1

 

As for the return yardage for D/ST, I would support 2 points for a return over 50 yds, but other than that nothing. And if it didn't happen, eh - I'm pretty neutral on that one.

every league i've been in has had negatives for sacks, fumbles, & picks.

 

what about interceptions? it's not fair to penalize for fumbles and not interceptions.

 

also, kick & return yardage is yardage as rushing & receiving. why not add those points to d/st's like any other gain? also, i'm not sure on yahoo you can select a "50 yard option" for returns.

 

just a thought.

I've never been a big fan of negative points for anything. I vote no negatives for interceptions or fumbles.....I also vote against any sort of points for return yards. They either score a TD or you get nothing is my take.

I'll pretty much go along with anything as long as the rules are clearly defined before the draft, but I disagree with "no negatives for fumbles or interceptions." We have to count these. As usual, don't count just fumbles, count fumbles lost..

I'm all for negatives, especially interceptions and fumbles. I have been in leagues where they have the negative yardage for sacks, i thought that was absolutely stupid...a -1(which is 10 yards), that's over penalized, so I agree with above where sacks are the O-lines fault and should not be charged to the QB. Just my opinion.

i requested the league id# and password saturday and i have yet to receive ...since there are only 2 of us left just put it on here and it will save you time..no one is going to be cute and sign in as one of us...probably much less anyone outside of the league is reading this thread

 

as far as rules go...that's great yahoo! has changed their format to allow you to assign tds to either individuals or d/st...that wasn't permissible last season....any rules are fine but i think negatives against a qb for sacks are silly...i have never played in a league with that rule....
