It's private and should be fine if everyone respects that we're using it to draft and not to talk crap (at least until after the draft)

I was saying a slow pick league. We are not picking in a live draft - it was decided that it would be a slow draft - ala 12 hours to pick or whatever.

6/6/06 is not the day for us to have our draft fate determined. Im waiting until 12:01AM Eastern time to push this thing through. If you guys dont mind of course. I know the suspense is killing us all. It may still be the 6th in your zone, but trick your mind into thinking its the 7th, because after all.....on the 7th day, didnt God create fantasy football??? Atleast, that's one of my beliefs. So, Im gonna look over all these emails, and make sure were all set, Ill send everyone out another email if you sent me one earlier today, and at a minute into tomorrow, Im running this program which will determine our fate. I assume it will not be instantaneous, but I guess we'll find out. Anyone with anything more to add, now's the time.

You accepted the same invite to the league I did. Way back on page one this was asked and answered.

 

I could care less if you all want to do draft pick deals - I'll just gracefully bow out and y'all can find another manager. No biggie, really.

 

But the league I joined doesn't have draft pick deals. And I like that because none of my leagues do - neither of my local $100 leagues, nor the WCOFF. So it's far more beneficial for me to draft in free leagues that don't do it.

 

And last year, after a particularly ridiculous league I vowed to never be a part of a league where draft picks get dealt again. It slowed the draft to a crawl, and the same two or three people kept making deals - it ended up being a total cluster. Ask Lost On Draft Day about it sometime.

 

Chalk it up to experience and personal preference. No whining here - I'll just bow out. No sweat off my arse.

Fellas, Im the last person that wants to have the 10th pick in this draft. That said, Ill take that 10 hole and still turn this league upside down and spank some serious gentlemen buttocks!! I like to wheel and deal as much.....no, moreso than anyone, but I say we stick to our positions and let the chips fall where they may. I made a gentleman agreement early on, that if we went thru with this thing, we'd just stick to our spots and give this thing some real legitimacy. Not that it wouldnt be legit if we all started trading up or out of our positions, but things are likely to just get crazy complicated if its a draft free for all. I realize I only carry one vote here, but I really would like to see us all agree that we'll square and up, throw honest blows above the belt and keep it relatively clean. Imo, the draft will absolutely rock if we DONT deal slots. So, would you guys consider this, and make this small concession. We've got an excellent thing going here with 12 solid owners. This will probably be the best league I play in this year and it'll be free! So lets just pick our teams with the picks we get, and when the dust settles and players are picked, and teams are established, then lets open the floodgates and drown the town!
