Are you guys Draftin Reggie Bush

Recommended Posts

I see he's being drafted in the 3rd rds or so in most redrafts. Thats a little high for me when there still a lot of talent out there. I understand he will be an rb/wr like westbrook but still ;he's a rock who is 2nd on the depth charts.

W/ Bush take some load of Duece, Duece will more likely last longer this season than he did the last 2. I'm thinkin late 4th, early 5th for Bush.

it's a tough call. i know mcallister's there but he has an injury history and a reggie bush (supposedly) only comes around once a decade. in a re-draft i'd certainly hesitate...but in a keeper i'd take him very early.

redraft, i'm probably not even thinking about him until the 6th - which is most likely going to be too late. Considering you can still grab guys like FTaylor and CuMar (who are admittedly in the decline, but are still very effective #3 rbs) in the late 6th, i just don't see the point of drafting a guy who is openly splitting carries and isn't going to be the gl back. Plus, i don't really like the risk of Bush returning kicks because none of the leagues i play in reward the individual player for the return yards (but i may bump NO def. up a little if he does return kicks... )

keeper/dynasty. I'm probably still waiting til the 3rd/4th, which is also going to be too late. No matter how dynamic of a playmaker he is, i just can't see him ever being the huge TD threat since he's not getting those short-yardage carries - and that bugs me. Look at a guy like Edge, who was a yardage monster and played on one of the most prolific offenses, he barely ever broke into double-digit TDs and his value was constantly hurt by that fact. For Bush to put up big TD #s he has to score the majority of them from outside the 10, which don't get me wrong, i like a guy that's breaking the long ones, but i just see him being in a Tiki/Dunn situation for the majority of his career and constantly being hurt because of it. I don't like to have to count on the guy putting up 150 yds every week just because he may not score a TD...

Bush if at his best this year would be westbrook numbers. At his worst all kick return duties and third downs. Not worth the risk and im a saints fan.You can get westbrook a little early and you know what you are getting.Bush wont see GL even if duce got hurt. With no duce I can only still see westbrook numbers. Its a bad early pick in my view.

I have noticed that he is gone by the 5th at the latest in every draft Ive see, This is good for you that means you might get a guy your holding your fingers for.

Bush could have LJ type impact. So taking him 4-6 would be a tremendous steal and taking him in third, while a huge gamble, could pay off with a  . I may take that gamble depending on how Deuce looks this summer.

what do you think about drafting Deuce and Bush in consecutive rounds, like 4-5 or 5-6? If you have the consecutive picks and they were available it would be kinda hard to pass up.

Youd only do that if it was going to be a one-back system like denver (usually). This is going to be RBBC so 4-5 seems early and only beneficial if one gets hurt or breaks out to the point he gets 3/4 of the load.

Each back will only get about 10-12 carries a game on avg I suspect so I am staying away from that situation unless one stays around late.

Even IF bush is the RB for the siants of the future, they will still play mccalister to raise his trade potential; so i dont like NO.

well first, their respective ADPs are 5 are 3. so you probably wouldn't get the chance. But even if you did, why would you want to draft an entire RBBC system and have to hope for an injury to one (which would thereby increase the others value, but completely kill the injured players value), when you could draft guys like Dunn and say Addai and at least have one good one in Dunn and then Addai wins the starting job...

it's one thing to draft a guy and then his handcuff when the handcuff is a few rounds later, but back to back, or even w/ 1 round in between seems a little too close to me, especially in the early mid rounds.

but you gotta worry about westbrook's injury history. why not get westbrook on steroids with a 3rd round instead of westbrook in the 2nd?

I'd like to see how much Bush plays in the pre-season and McAllister's health before determining a value on him. In my 12 team auction league with 17 roster spots , I'm guessing he'll probably go for around $30 unless he's not nominated until the later part of the draft. There's also a chance Bush may holdout as well thinking he's worth no.1 overall money when he was drafted with the 2nd overall pick.
