mt-wabo 0 Posted July 3, 2006 Okay here is the scenario you are picking 11th in a redraft no ppr 6pts per rushing td, and spts per rec td 1 pt per 10yrds receiving and rushing Your choices are Westbrook Caddy Mcgahee,Dom Davis and then all the top WR's are there Smith CJ, TO Holt, which direction would you go grab Smith first then a RB or go RB,RB, and then hope for a decent WR2 like Ward or maybe Reggie Wayne in the 3rd round. The way I look at it is most teams with a Stud WR1 and a decent back is better than 2 decent backs and 2 decent WRs but not great. Let the debate begin. famousb 11 Posted July 3, 2006 gotta take rb rb. Cadi first and try to grab westbrook on the way down. if you go RB, RB, you can still get two quality WRs in the 3rd/4th like DJax, Ward, SMoss, RWilliams, or Plax. And then maybe supplement either position by taking Addai, TJones, CBenson Horn, Housh, or Mason depending on your league requirements for starters, etc... conversely if you go with and RB/WR combo the best values that will be on the board for you in the 3rd are going to be guys like Bush, Droughns, and Dunn. In a redraft, i don't like Bush just because i think he'll be splitting too many touches w/ Deuce. I don't like Droughns as a #2 simply because he doesn't get the opportunity to score TDs, and Dunn is good and puts up good numbers, but the thought of Duckett or the rookie stealing touches and TDs also worries me for a #2 RB... Donald Driver WR GBP 4.08.91 3.09 6.01 05.84 32 I'm a tried and true RB-RB guy (hell I took 3 straight RBs last year), but with the 11th spot this year I'm not sure RB-RB is such a good idea. If you were at spots 6-10, definately go RB-RB and snag a stud WR in the 3rd, but with the 11th pick that 3rd round WR is going to be a real crap shoot. S Moss, Williams, Burress - good lord. Plus, this year in particular there are a bunch of solid RBs going later in the draft than normal.... for whatever reasons. Corey Dillon, Thomas Jones, Ahman Green, Curtis Martin, Fred Taylor... etc. all can be drafted in the 4th-6th round. Given all that, with the 11th pick this year, I'd consider going: RB - WR- QB/TE - RB - RB - WR Perhaps: Cadillac, T.O., Palmer, Dillon, A Green, Evans.... Passing TD's are worth 6pts 12 teams Starting lineups are 1Qb,2RB,2Wr,1TE,1k,1dst Several options A last resort should be RB/RB unless something crazy happens and a Tier 2 RB falls to 11. I see no problem with RB/WR WR/RB WR/WR or even RB/Manning
