Chester Taylor and the Minnesota Backfield

Recommended Posts

Hey has anyone heard anything about the RB situation in Minny in regards to Chester Taylor I remember hearing back that he was fat when he showed up for mini camps back in April has anyone heard anything else. With Tice gone I was hoping to hear about a one back set not a rbbc.

Thanks

especially with a guy like T-Rich now leading for the guy. I think Taylor has a real good shot at putting up some numbers this year, and could make a nice 3rd back for somebody. Not sure if I'm sold enough to make him my #2 tho.

With the better O-line (Hutchinson and healthy Birk) and one of the best f-backs in the game.....whoever gets to run as full time back (300 carries) will be a stud...top ten , maybe even top 5 kind of numbers.

I will go on record saying I THINK that back will be Taylor. I will most likely be taking him with my #2 this year. Pre-season will show us, but I think if he is given the starting job, he will be very valuable.

My predictions.... Chester Taylor ...1150 yds...rushing 275 yds rec.....12 TD's.

The O-line is much improved, but as of now no defensive coordinators are overly concerned with the QB/WR personnel. Unless Johnson puts up some numbers early, Taylor will see alot of 8-man fronts.

Taylor is a big question mark on my lists. RB2 would be too much of a gamble in my mind. Even at RB3 I would prefer Droughs, Parker or Dunn. The upside is definitely there, but I'm too conservative for that risk.
