cmh6476 1,025 Posted July 18, 2006 After the top 3, it seems very muddled to me. I just dont see what the difference in having a lot of the top half RBs is. Portis Tiki Edge S Jackson Jordan Rudi Ronnie Caddy McGahee Dom Davis Julius Jones Parker K Jones Hell, even some of the guys ranked lower than all these guys could step up and do just as well if not better than most of these guys. Are we going to see more WR picks in the top rounds this year? I think in order to distance yourself from the pack, you may have to have one of the top receivers, cause I dont see any1 seperating themselves just because they have 2 mentioned from the above list. xenophobe 1 Posted July 18, 2006 I'd say Tiki there is a big gap between Tiki and those other guys. And where is Portis? Did you mean the big 4, or did you forget to include him in this list? Anyway, there will be a more variation among the guys listed than you think when all is said and done. The trouble is, it's hard to predict who will step it up and who will take a step back. Not a lot of established commodities in that group, but still, some potential.
Polamalu43 0 Posted July 18, 2006 I think this year, like most, owners will continue to pick RBs too high to ensure themselves 2 starting RBs. I actually thought this year seemed a little more clear cut with more starting RBs available, but there still is a lot of cluttered messes out there.

I'd be comfortable going with any of the big 3, but after that it's a crapshoot IMO and most of em could fock ya, or validate their early draft position. Young_Grasshopper 0 Posted July 18, 2006 In all the mock's I've done, people are stepping up and taking A LOT of receivers before these second-tier RBs. I don't think the problem is that the people on your list are going to all perform mediocre; I think the problem is that some of them will be huge and some will look like Jamal Lewis did last year, so people are afraid of the risk. The winners are the ones who will make the right pick amoung the risky options... or just get lucky! Because people are flocking to pick up first-tier WRs sooner, second-tier RBs are being undervalued, which makes them a buy, IMO, if you can get the one you want. I agree, however, I'd be comfortable with Tiki or Portis. I see a gap after those two.
