SmartassBoiler 0 Posted July 18, 2006 I play in a league that rewards 2 points for 100 yard games, rushing or receiving, and 2 points for 300 yard passing games. Given this, would you adjust your tiers at all, or does this just simply make each higher tier a bit stronger?
Da Bomb 0 Posted July 18, 2006 the difference at each position will be pretty minimal. i wouldnt use it to adjust my rankings, just as a tiebreaker when im considering a few guys at some pick. i have a league that uses bonuses for TD distance, and i do the same thing there. lets say it comes down to chad johnson and terrell owens, and i have both for pretty equal yardage/TDs, then i will choose chad johnson because he often gets long TDs. but for all other purposes, they are ranked equal on my sheet. In my league, QBs get a 5 point bonus for 300+ yards and a 10 point bonus for 400+ yards. RBs, WRs, and TEs get a 5 point bonus for 120+ yards and and 10 point bonus for 200+ yards. As such, my projections have to include how many "bonuses" I think they will reach, so I do adjust based upon that.

We get an extra 2 points (4 points total) for 400+ passing yards and 200+ rushing/receiving yards. However, you're lucky if one of your players reaches any of those milestones once in a season, and it's certainly not worth projecting IMO. However, in your league the 120+ and 300+ yardage games are pretty sizeable bonuses, so I can see that affecting your projections a bit. With it being only 2 points in mine, I figure the tiers already separate the players more likely to have bigger games, so I don't think much about it. RamslovaMartzhata 3 Posted July 18, 2006 All scoring options should influence your rankings... but in the original posters case the difference is minimal, so do as another poster states and use it as a tie breaker.
