Priest Holmes

Recommended Posts

Same basic premise as the TD thread. Do you think Priest should get in or not? And if you think yes for TD, and no for Holmes, why?

EDIT: His career stats:

1734 rushes, 8035 yards, 4.6 YPC, 86 rushing TDs

334 receptions, 2945 yards, 8.8 YPC, 8 receiving TDs

I just don't think 3 years of greatness from TD or PH is HoF worthy.

Saw this stat:

Career YPG: 1. Edgerrin James (125.68) 2.Jim Brown (125.52).

Gotta love Edge.

Honorable mention due to his dominance for a few years yes... HOF no. Just didnt' do it long enough to qualify for the Hall. Him and Bo Jackson are in the same boat.....

His numbers were much better than Bo Jackson's, so I think it's a different boat. Larry Johnson's dominance (and potential for future dominance) may also cast a shadow over Holmes' greatness, whether it's fair or not. Based on his numbers, he deserves it more than TD but Denver wouldn't have won a ring w/o TD. KC didn't even come close.
