Antwaan Randle El or Brandon Lloyd

Recommended Posts

Last year the Skins were money on the quick screens to Santana Moss... a play that I think Randle El is also well suited for. He is pretty quick and shifty ala Moss and was brought in to be a playmaker.

Meanwile Lloyd is more the prototypical WR.. but it was hard to gauge his skill level playing in what loosely resembled football in the Bay Area (Reminds me of a funny quote I read somewhere... saying that "the new NFL commissioner will have the task of trying to bring football back to LA... and the Bay area  "). People don't have much faith in Brunell... but I always think he has been a solid QB.

It's hard to tell what the Skins plans are with Saunders taking over in the booth... but he was known to spread the ball around in KC and I thkn he has much better receivers than he had there.

Anyhow, who is the #2 in WAS, and will either of them be worth a late round flier?

Lloyd is definatly the #2....El is a slot WR....

Yeah, just seems like El can do so much more from the slot. But it will be more like 2A and 2B depending on what the skins are trying to do IMO.

I'm prettey sure the redskins are planning on using a 3 WR base set. I keep hearing how it will open things up for Portis because he's better at picking holes and with space. Also, it allows to use the strengths of its WR's.

Lloyd will make a much better #2 in DC than he was at #1 in SF. Key word: SF. Any offense is better than no offense. He'll get looks and catches since the top DBs will be keyed in on SantMoss. Lloyd is a pretty good possession guy and might make a few snags around the endzone...after Brunell checks down from Cooley and Portis. It wouldn't be all that unreasonable to see him being there in the 8th or 9th though.
