Eriadoc 4 Posted July 28, 2006 It's legal to pack in Texas. We all do it. That said, he should have probably thought about that when he left the state. Of course, when I go on a road trip out of state, I never even think about it myself. Anyway, Gaffney never was a problem guy, so I'd give him the benefit of the doubt here. It's not like the Bengals guys who all had priors when they were drafted.
jlbay 0 Posted July 28, 2006 This is being treated like it is breaking news. The arrest happend over a month ago and his lawyer is going to arrange for the guy to go through some sort of gun education program and the charges will be dropped. Personally I think Gaffney could be in for a surprisingly good year with McNabb throwing to him. The Eagles should have a much better line this year as 3/5ths of the O-line was injured last season and Gaffney was a decent (not great) borderline good (again not great) WR on an offense that had turnstiles as O-linemen and a QB who would spend the week practicing while lying on his back (because that was game like conditions). With McNabb throwing it, if the line gives him a bit of time Gaffney could be in line for 60 - 65 catches, 800 yrds and maybe 6-8 TDs.

I was just making a joke on some of the Bengals' recent brushes with the law. I am an Eagles fan and think Gaffney will be a great help to us this year.
