Please Rate my (keeper) Team

Recommended Posts

I don't know how I feel about my team this year. I think I got cought up in all the Reggie Bush BS and over-picked him @ 17 -

Anyway, the scoring is standard with no PPR, we start 2RB's and 3 WR's - 10 team league. 2 optional keepers and you lose the draft pick of the round of your keepers. Let me know what you guys think - did I totally F myself over or am I just overthinking it...

QB Carson Palmer, Cin QB - 4

RB Clinton Portis, Was RB - 1

RB Reggie Bush, NO RB - 2

WR Chris Chambers, Mia WR - 3

WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Cin WR - 5

WR Rod Smith, Den WR - 6

TE Tony Gonzalez, KC TE - 7

D/ST Broncos D/ST, Den D/ST - 16

K Shayne Graham, Cin K - 15

Bench Ahman Green, GB RB - 8

Bench Frank Gore, SF RB - 9

Bench DeAngelo Williams, Car RB - 10

Bench Donte' Stallworth, NO WR - 11

Bench Ben Roethlisberger, Pit QB - 12

Bench Greg Jones, Jac RB - 13

Bench Kevin Curtis, StL WR - 14

You basically have no real threat at RB#2. Someone has to get hurt for any of your backups to play... by the way Green is certainly your starter over Bush as of today. Best case scenario is Bush gets some junktime play... Duece is still the man in NO

Really? Because I had figured he'd at least be getting some receiving yards every game. I didn't know he wouldn't play at all... that sucks =/

You are going to be driven crazy every week trying to decide between A.Green and Bush as your # 2 starter. Neither of which will be that productive.

I dont think bush will play much at the start of the year and not sure how much goal line work he will get but i feel he will be paying off by the second half of the season

I would feel a lot better withBush if it were a PPR... but one thing I do know is the guys saying that Bush will get junk time and/or will no be a factor don't have much of a logical basis for that claim. If anything I think Deuce is more suspect coming off ACL surgery, and Bush isn't the highest paid RB for nothing. Your team is tough to measure at this time with uncertainty of Bush, Palmer, Chambers, and pretty bad depth. But I will say your team does have the potential to be amazing.

Guh, at least I have potential... <_<

I also heard that Duece was experiencing a good bit of pain while practicing in camp. If I were to go off of previous experience I'd say his knee won't be right until at least the middle of the year...

Bush 1/Portis 2 is very odd....

i cant see how this would have worked out for you

Bush is a bit iffy but will be a nice keeper and should have some value as a starter

i'd like to see more depth at RB but i think you picked up some nice late round guys that could fill in oin a pinch

dont care a lot for the WR depth but thats what the WW is for....

i like Denver as a DST this year, Williams should get a few TDs on returns for you

like the QBs

i think in all Bush was the worst pick for you, although you may be loving it down the road you may also be kicking yourself as well, not getting Portis would have sunk your team but if he fell that far i would have loved to see who else was around when you nabbed Bush.... should have been someone good that you could have wiped your league up with

Will be a good team down the stretch run, Portis and Palmer are great picks, and they alone will help keep you alive. Housh isn't a bad 2nd WR, and Chambers has the possibility to be a top 10, but that is still iffy. Bush could very well make or break your draft. Duece isn't going to recover as well as he would like to, and Bush will touch the ball a lot this year, whether people want to admit it or not. Problem is though, you might have to go a couple weeks before Bush really starts to produce, and you still face the chance he may not produce much at all.

I think you did reach for Bush, but if it's a keeper then it may be ok. I like your WRs but I'd love them as a 2 3 and 4, i'd preffer a true WR. Your RB depth is great, but I think you are hurting a little for an rb2. ###### Roaf, Gonzalez ia great vallue in the 7th. I don't like Stallworth, but that's just me.

Overall solid.

I also think you did pretty well. You reached in a couple of places but did well in others. I think people are overlooking your Frank Gore pick. As of now, he is the starting RB at SF over Barlow. He may surprise some people this year and be a solid #2 for you behind Portis. I also love the fact that you scored both Bush and Williams. If they get the opportunity, they could easily jump into your #2 slot by the middle and end of the year. Your biggest problem will be figuring which RBs to keep for next year. I'm not crazy about your WRs, but I think they'll do fine. I do like Chambers, though, and he could have a great year with Culpepper throwing him the rock. Good luck.
