Trooper5 0 Posted August 7, 2006 We are having our 3 round rookie/vet draft later this week. I made a trade and have picks 1.1 and 1.5. I've been offered pick 1.9 & Roy Williams for pick 1.5. Should I take the trade? I like Roy Williams this year and into the future but I also like the idea of taking 2 of the top 5 rbs. H E L P

Guest Edgefan Posted August 7, 2006 What other RB's and WR's do you currently have on your team? I like Roy Williams as well, but it sure would be nice having two of those rookie backs. My answer will depend on the rest of your roster.
lguero1 4 Posted August 7, 2006 on the surface, i like it. who is available at the 1.5 slot? r u looking at bush with 1.1? who r ur other RBs? need more info for an opinion.
Trooper5 0 Posted August 7, 2006 I'm taking Bush at 1.1. At 1.5 I'm looking at all of the other rookies plus Ron Dayne. My roster looks like this... QB...Hasselbeck & Palmer RB...T.Henry, Larry Johnson, Thomas Jones and Warrick Dunn WR...R Moss, Muhammad, Jurevicius, Burelson, Lelie, Glenn and Chatman I'm also tossing around the idea of trading Hasselbeck for a WR and taking Leinhart at 1.5. What do you think. Thanks.
Force of Two 0 Posted August 7, 2006 No brainer do the deal... Youll add Bush, #9 (which could still be Dayne)...and a possible up and coming elite WR going into his magical 3rd year

Trooper5 0 Posted August 7, 2006 I accepted the deal then he came back and told me he couldn't do the trade because there is no value in the 5th pick. Oh well.........
Trooper5 0 Posted August 7, 2006 Would you trade two of these players for the 2nd over all pick? Muhammad, Jurevicius, Glenn, T.Henry, Thomas Jones and Warrick Dunn? As you can tell I'm trying to overhaul my team and try to build for the future. Thanks
gator-raiders 0 Posted August 8, 2006 I was just getting ready to reply. I think you are better taking another rookie RB. There are 7 rookie RBs now with Mike Bell being added to the mix in Denver. Dont forget about Norwood in ATL. I am not a fan of Dayne at all and certainly not from a keeper prospective. So keep the #5 and take a rookie RB. If I were you, I would try to trade up to #3 or #4 as I would rather have Williams, Maroney or Addai than White. Please take the time to post your opinion on my full keeper / dynasty draft question topic. Thanks.
