Ryan166 0 Posted August 13, 2006 I know nothing about keepers, but I will say this, you're top 3 WRs seem too old: Harrison, 34 when season starts. Muhammad, 33. McCardell, 36. Was that something you were thinking of while drafting?
Cuse9 128 Posted August 13, 2006 problem is your posting in the wrong board....doesn't really matter cause not too many ppl answer over there either. That was quite a reach for Maroney...you see Dillon going down? I like the team, it's got good balance. Bryant seems like he's gonna do well in SF and I liked you getting Barlow to go with Gore. I like the team....it's not stellar, but you should have just as good of a shot as anyone at winning the league. GL
mgs316 14 Posted August 13, 2006 Week in week out, I think you will get beat up at WR. But as we know, SA can win games all by himself. Winslow roll of the dice. But in the end Carson makes or breaks this squad.
GuidingLight 3 Posted August 13, 2006 Average with many question marks. Palmer will be fine. Great dynasty QB. Injury, lol. Have you all not seen how the athletic medical process has been cut in half the past five years? Your WR's are meh. I like Harrison for a year or two, the others blow. Don't but into the Bryant/Smith connection. So, you drafted three 49ers? Hmmm. Maroney was a reach at that spot, but tough to tell without the entire draft (no need to post it). Dillon is close to done so not a bad RB to have for the future. You passed either LJ or LT2 for SA. That I don't understand.
swirvenirvin 25 Posted August 13, 2006 Let's post at 2:30 A.M. on the wrong board at whine cause no one responded to my thread

There are no points for receptions - Hence LT2 does not have that advantage over Shaun Age/Durability - Shaun has played only one more year than LT2 and LT2 has broken down 2 years in a row. With a unproven Qb, teams will be gunning for him all year. You cannot stack the box against Sea since hasselback will burn u. Also, despite playing one less year, LT2 has as many carries as Shaun (seriously look it up) and if you count receptions, LT2 has been hit more than SHaun in his career. Hence advantage Shaun for durability. OL - Yeah Shaun lost his OG, but LT2's OL has issues too. Almost equal I would say. Supporting cast - Advantage Shaun until Rivers proves it. And even Carson Palmer looked mediocre in his first year despite sitting on the bench for a year. And Rivers is no Palmer. Schedule - Shaun has a far easier schedule this year and will probably next few years too since AZ and St Louis invest their cap $ on O, not on D. Playoff schedule is easy for Sea too. Bonus points for >100 yd rushing - Look at Shaun's schedule and look at the # of 100 yard games past 2 years by Shaun vs LT2. Advantage Shaun. Other than the stupid, illogical Madden curse and post Superbowl loss hangover, Shaun is easily better than LT2 if there are no points for receptions. psunate77 0 Posted August 13, 2006 Bush and Maroney are rookies who aren't even starters, they have 2 good runs in their first pre-season games and they shoot up the board.
jrokh 569 Posted August 13, 2006 Decent team but I would look to trade for a WR. Maybe Jamal for a D-Jax type.
gottabesweet84 0 Posted August 13, 2006 I like the Maroney pick but I did think you reached on Moose in the 6th. Nice Gore pick at 7.

All I can tell you is I have Draft Dominator, put all the info in (scoring may be a bit jiggy, but did the best I could), and unless I did something REALLY screwy, your numbers make you the strongest team in our conference when looking at the whole team. Looking at the starters only you drop to about mid-pack, with weakest links at TE and WR. No comments were made about my draft while it was going on (LOL - I discouraged that, I hope!), but by the same standards, I'm 7th for overall strength, and 4th for starters. If the experts know anything, team nameless isn't as strong as he'd like us to think . We'll see if he's smarter than the experts.
