I imagine that day is probably a very common draft day for fantasy football leagues since it is right after the last preseason games and right before the start of the regular season. Mike MacGregor 20 Posted August 18, 2006 Last year we did an update on 9/5 or 9/6, which was the Mon night/Tue morning after the last preseason game. My guess it was a day later because it takes quite a bit of time to go through all the projections, finalize them, and post them on the website and create the Compiler update pages. That said, typically there are not many changes from the last week of preseason. By that time the veteran players have had enough preseason, and the coaches do not want to risk injury to their main starters so close to the start of the season. If anything major happens with regards to injury or something that will have a major impact on a player's prospects, then we will update as soon as possible.
