Edge or SJax @ 1.6?

normal scoring league, yardage + td. i have the 6th pick in a 10 team draft.

 

with portis hurt, everyone that was under him moves up a little and i have two RB's in mind:

 

1. Edge - i know everyone's down on him, but i believe he's an elite RB and elite RB's can do their thing even without a line. Plus, I had edge last year, and i feel comfortable with him on my team

 

or

 

2. SJax - I think with faulk going down, new coach that leans toward the run, and this being his second year...he might be primed for a breakout year.

 

who do i pick?

I'd definitely take SJax over Edge (and I'd take R Brown over Edge too). But if Portis is still available,

I'd still have a hard time passing him up at 6. He's only supposed to maybe miss the 1st game, possibly 2. I think he'll still be golden this year. If you take him though, you'll definitely want his handcuff too. Anyways, I'd still probably go with SJax, nobody's stealing his carries, he's 3rd year and going to get more carries this year. \

thats a touhg one man, but I think the pick has to go to Jackson. I am really questionable about Edge in Arizona.

sjax hands down, im really not high on edge. the fact that they had the worst rushing o last season doesnt speak much for their line.

Bottom line: SJAx more upside with less risk than Edge (this season)

I agree with the other guys, go with S. Jax. I think people who think Edge is going to have a great year are in for an eye opener.

 

As for the 6 spot, that's where I'm at too and I'm struggling between S. Jax and Ronnie Brown. Both have been ranked very close together (some have Brown higher, some lower). Brown has a much easier schedule, but my gut tells me that Jax will have a better fantasy year. Of course, I have nothing to back that up at th moment. Good thing I still have 2 weeks before my draft. Keeping an eye on this one.

does everyone seriously think edge'll be that bad? i think arizona's o-line'll be bad, but i think edge will still do what he does best, and although it won't be the same totals as years past, he'll still should have 1200+y, 8-10 td's.

I think that Edge will still have a good year, but SJax has a ton of upside this season.

Edge last game 2 carries for -2yards. Gotta love his o-line!

Interesting! I have the same problem. The difference is I need to decide who to keep, Edge or SJax. The majority of people responding to my post have said go with SJax. And just watching the preseason games I like what I see out of Jackson more than James. I'm leaning toward keeping SJax.

 

Any advice for me????
