JREarly 0 Posted August 26, 2006 alright we just finished up our ten team draft. i feel that i did very badly. can someone please give me some input as far as how you think i did or how to make my team better. i was not happy with my draft position in the first place. i ended up drafting 9th out of 10. remember, this is only a 10 team league and the starting positions are as follows - QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR/RB, TE, DEF, K. we also have 8 bench spots. here is how my team turned out. please leave me some comments cuz i really need it. QB - MCNABB, PLUMMER RB - CADDY, PORTIS, K. JONES, GORE, DUCKETT, DAYNE, M. MOORE WR - HARRISON, D. JACKSON, GALLOWAY, STALLWORTH, K. ROBINSON TE - HEAP DEF - CAROLINA K - J. REED portis fell to me at the 9th spot but i didn't take him. i took caddy with my first round pick. portis then fell to me again in the 2nd round, a few picks later. i didn't really want to take him but i didn't feel like i could let him slip any further. i ended up getting duckett so i guess it is not so bad but i dont know. what do you guys think of this team? also i didnt know robinson was suspended (at least that is what i am told) so i will be dropping him and probably picking up a. bryant or someone like that. QBs went fast in this draft, within the first 3 rounds 4 QBs were gone. i don't like my situation at QB but i guess it could be worse. luckily i got heap around 8th round so i was happy there. so who should i drop? who should i keep? and how bad is my team? please give me your comments. i will help you guys out as well. Return of the King 0 Posted August 26, 2006 you will hate the words GTD. You did good taking Duckett after you drafted Portis. KJ is a very nice 3rd rb or fill in until Portis is 100%. KJ could be nice trade bait in a few weeks. Harrison is a stud, but DJax make me nervous. It might take a few weeks for DJax to become a good #2wr. Carolina def is solid. I think your team is solid, if your team gets healthy , your going to be very happy.
Me_2006 14 Posted August 26, 2006 It's not terrible really. Pretty much a ho-hum 10 teamer. You have good depth at RB which is incredibly important, and you managed to handcuff Portis with Duckett which I think anyone in your league with any sense would have prevented. Anyways, at WR you have 3 #1 options on their respective teams, two of which being some of the top passing teams in the NFL. Having Marvin and Djax really helps you on the weeks you face the owners with Manning and Hasselbeck too. I think Heap will have a big year with McNair in town and in my opinion you grabbed the top D in the league. Not bad at all, nothing spectacular, but you should be in the running barring injury problems or one of your top guys being a bust. Good luck. Please see mine. dalie 2 Posted August 26, 2006 I don't think you look TOO bad, WR is weak (esp. with KoRo) hopefully D Jax knee holds up. So yes drop the BUM (KoRo) and get next best WR and you should do alright.

He is still an all-pro. DJax is the key. If he can get well. LOOK OUT
kbtegp 0 Posted August 26, 2006 Except for injury concerns, this is a solid team. Moore, Dayne and KRob are a waste of roster space. Drop them and take a few fliers Lundy Jennings VJackson Musa Smith come to mind.
WoodDuck2003 0 Posted August 26, 2006 On a scale of 1-10 I say your draft was a 5 at best. It would help to know where you drafted some of these players, but I cant really see who you got with your 12 pick. If you took K.Jones you took him far to early in my opinion. Overall not terrible but you for sure have your work cut out in a 10 team league.
