WoodDuck2003 0 Posted August 26, 2006 Okay, 12 team keeper league. We keep two players from last year and give up the round they were drafted in. I picked 5th overall. Start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR/TE, 1K, 1D/ST. Standard scoring and 1pt/rec. I have the round they were drafted in (). QB J.Plummer(9th)/B.Farve(13th) RB S.Jackson(3rd keeper)/C.Williams(4th keeper)/W.Parker(1st)/T.Jones(5th)/D.Staley(10th)G.Jones(12th) WR R.Williams(2nd)/M.Muhammad(6th)/M.Jones(7th)/D.Bennett(11th) K J.Feeley(14th) D/ST CHI(8th) I know my WR's are not the best but by far not terrible and with my RB depth I think I can for sure trade up as the season goes on. My D/ST and K are solid as well as my QB's are a nice combo. What do you guys think? I will respond if you leave a link.
JREarly 0 Posted August 26, 2006 you have nice depth at RB. WRs are going to need some help. like you said after a couple weeks you should be able to offer a trade with one of your RBs. you also might need to upgrade at QB, just don't know if Plummer and Favre will be good enough all year. good luck. please see mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=224593
WoodDuck2003 0 Posted August 26, 2006 Thanks for the input. Anyone else, and are my WRs really that bad for a 12 team redraft? I know my #3WR is a bit questionable but I think R.Williams is a low end #1WR and M.Muhammad is a middle of the road #2WR, maybe I just have them ranked to high on my board. pmg 0 Posted August 26, 2006 I think the big question for your team is ultimately going to be how your WR play if Matt Jones ad Roy WIlliams play liek they cna you have the makings for a very solid play off team
MoshPitHippie 0 Posted August 26, 2006 Looks pretty good, A good wr or two will show up in the free agent pool, does every year. You might want to keep a close eye on free agent qb's too... http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=224247
J-Money 4 Posted August 26, 2006 personally, since you already had s-jax and caddy , and can only play 2 rbs, i would have drafted wr/wr with the first 2 picks. Muhammad I think is a decent #3 with the potential to be an alright #2 but i wouldn't count on it. The bears are a running team, everyone knows that and don't worry the least bit about the passing game. Now if griese gets in there, maybe he can spark something. I would rather have had a guy like Nate Burleson/Matt Jones/Drew Bennett/Terry glenn over muhammad that early. Hopefully for you he blows up, but i think you took him 3 rounds to early. See if you can trade parker and one of your wr's not named williams for a dunnesque tiered rb and a better wr. Good luck
Brad GLuckman 519 Posted August 26, 2006 Hey I like your team. Very strong at RB, with two quality keepers there. That'll carry over great to next year. I think Plummer's going to have a good year, especially if Walker can get back to his original form. WR's, yeah they're weak, especially Muhammed...he's not a #2 receiver. But Matt Jones could do some things. I'd keep an eye out for the waiver wire, aggresively seek another WR or use willie parker as trade bait...oh and, just my opinion, but you really reached for TJones in the 5th. Overall I think you did pretty good.
