khangmg 0 Posted August 26, 2006 Just drafted in a 12 Team league. PPR, 1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1 flex, 1 Def, and 1 K are the weekly plays. Draft Resullts: #1 Ronnie Brown RB #2 Marvin Harrison WR #3 Kevin Jones RB #4 Joe Horn WR #5 Corey Dillon RB #6 Jake Delhomme QB #7 Matt Jones WR #8 Dominick Davis RB #9 Chris Brown RB #10 Steelers Def #11 Ben Watson TE #12 Mark Clayton WR #13 Brad Johnson QB #14 Lawrence Tynes K #15 Braylen Edwards WR #16 Greg Jennings WR I f'ed up a couple rounds but overall my goal was to get the best value I could at each round. Brad Johnson was a brainfart. My league tends to be real lame when it comes to trading so no one wants to trade until 3 or 4 weeks into the season. Not much in the TE are available in the free agent poole (Best available are Alex Smith and Jermaine Wiggins). I sacrificed a decent TE for D Davis and Chris Brown. Please advise to sure up any weakness. Such as trading specific rb for specific wr. Thanks in advance for any advice.
adam smitty 0 Posted August 26, 2006 Solid team, but your 2nd RB is the main question mark and also your flex spot. Getting DD that late was a great pick, because he should play eventually but only God knows how long he'l last. Watson is a great TE, so youre fine there. Clayton or Edwards should be able to fit the flex spot, but maybe if one of your backup RBs has a good game, package him and a lesser wr for a more stable receiver. hth

I was thinking this possiblity in Week 1 also because Ronnie Brown vs the Steelers Def worries. Ronnie looked bad last night behind the Dolphins line against Carolina. I was thinking KJ, Harrison, Horn, and Jones. Especially with PPR.

That could possibly work, I missed that you only need to start 1 RB, that's kinda odd to me... I have a feeling that when DD is healthy you should start Ronnie and Dom, but for right now 3wrs could be the way to go, however i wouldnt bench Ronnie for KJ. Best option for week 1 may be to start Ronnie and KJ plus 2 wrs. I'd have to look more in depth at matchups and stuff to say for sure though..but benching your first round pick usually isnt a good idea

khangmg 0 Posted August 27, 2006 What spot did you draft in? Where did S. Jax go? I drafted in the #5 spot. S Jackson went at #5. It was a toss up for either Jackson or Brown. I figured Jets and Bills twice a season each tipped the scales.
