piece of work 0 Posted August 28, 2006 We have had standard scoring for 11yrs and now a few in our league are very serious about decimal scoring. Is it any good or is it better to stick with our simple scoring system. Opinions please would be appreciated.
resser2 0 Posted August 28, 2006 what is the change? We changed a couple of years to the decimals and I like it. We were 1 point for every 10 yards and then changed to 0.1 for every yard. Then 9 yards = 0 points Now 9 yards = .9 points I like it better because all yards earned are worth something.
piece of work 0 Posted August 28, 2006 0.4 pts per passing yard is a little much for some of the guys. They dont want to be dependent on the website or a scientific calculator. Plus def and kickers also are under decimals. Our scoring system has been good for 11yrs and some like to watch at a bar or restaurant and dont want to bother doing the math. However every yard would count under decimals.

dmac37 1 Posted August 28, 2006 Do it! Decimal scoring = fair & real way to record points, why penalize for not reaching 10,25,100 yard mark Blind bidding waivers = fair & requires strategy Auction draft = fair, why have your team determined by your draft position, target who you want and give everybody a chance for the top players. Nothing changes, other than the fact there are less chances for a tie. Then 9 yards = 0 pointsNow 9 yards = .9 points I like it better because all yards earned are worth something. This is basically irrelevant. Then your opponent would get 0 points. Now your opponent gets .9 points. The reason for decimal scoring is to prevent ties.
