STEELERMAN 0 Posted August 28, 2006 We start: 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1 ?Flex(RB/WR/TE)1k, 1D My Squad: RB: B. Westbrook, W. Parker, Kev. Jones, F. Taylor, Mike Bell, L. Toefield WR: D. Driver, TJ Housh, E. Kennison, Meshawn, & J. Shockey I HAVE BEEN OFFERED: S. Alexander for W. Parker & B. Westbrook Alexander is a stud but do I have the depth to take the hit?? MY RB's would be: Alexander, K. Jones, Taylor, Bell, & Toefield
Ronald Mexico 0 Posted August 29, 2006 I would make the trade. W. Parker will not be getting goalline carries which will limit his tds. B. Westbrook too many injuries on a team that won't even run the ball. Shaun will outscore both of these rb's combined almost every week.
boogaloobboy 0 Posted August 29, 2006 Yes and before it gets retracted. Westbrook and his foot/ankle make it extremely unlikely your ever gonna get a full season out of him and Parker is somewhat of an unknown entity as a full time back. Alexander is a big time player and you still have 3 starters remaining (Jones,Taylor and Bell). Great trade for you. dalie 2 Posted August 29, 2006 Boy a bit of a tough one because you DO lose depth but you gain SA. But w/ Westbrooks injuries I would definitly take it. Also with Greg Jones out for the year Fred Taylor is the man in Jax. if he doesn't get hurt (nobody took him in our draft so I got him today after the Jones news) See mine please: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=225628
yomamahates 0 Posted August 29, 2006 Kevin Jones is a decent RB, not a 100yarder but good. Mike Bell is a starter, I think you have depth. And anyways, Alexander scores more per game than Westbrook and Parker put together.
van-guard 0 Posted August 29, 2006 I would pull the trigger in a heartbeat. Shaun Alexander was probably drafted either first or second in most leagues and will provide tons of scoring opportunities. Westbrook is fragile and will probably not finish the season upright. Parker has some upside but having the opportunity to "steal" Alexander should be a no brainer. You have more than enough depth with Jones. Taylor, if he holds up, will be a serviceable 2 RB and with Greg Jones out for the year, it can only bode well for Taylor. PULL THE TRIGGER! Ray_T 798 Posted August 29, 2006 do it! you're in fine shape at RB. and you dont win drafts by playing it safe. if you lose some depth but get a stud starter, I think that's a good risk to take.
gphil 0 Posted August 29, 2006 In a heartbeat. If M Bell hits, you win your league. There's not much more I can say. Just my opinion. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=225634
