Let Da Big Dog Eat 38 Posted August 30, 2006 In my 10 team league typically everyone drafts 5 WR's so 45-50 WR's get taken. In my 12 leam league typically everyone drafts 4+ Wr's so, 45-50 get taken. There are 32 teams in the NFL. 32 #1 WR's. He has not been drafted in either league. Just wondering why? Don't want to hear "he sucks" responses, just saying he should be on you WW radar as Cleveland will be behind much of the year with lots of passing. J Vicious is worth keeping an eye on. Tarheel Boy 0 Posted August 30, 2006 He was drafted in one of my leagues. I wouldn't draft him because their QB just sucks and I think the only decent WR on that team is Edwards. I actually think Edwards will have a good year, but I don't think Jurevicius will be worthy of a draft pick.

Deadpool 0 Posted August 30, 2006 You answered your own question, "He's #1 in Cleveland". LOL. Ahem, but seriously.... where else has Jurevicous started at before Cleveland? Yeah he started a few games in Seattle last season, but they had some depth problems there and he had an excellent QB throwing to him. Last season he had career highs in receptions and TDs, and he has been in the league since 98. So reasons why not to expect a whole lot from him..... 1). His QB is still green. 2). He will eventually lose his #1 spot to Edwards. Don't get me wrong, I like to watch the guy play. He is a warrior. But I wouldn't expect big things from him this year. FFOpie 0 Posted August 30, 2006 Antonio Bryant didn't have such a bad year in Cleveland last year. (1,000 yds 4 tds) Frye isn't really that bad a QB either. I guess it really is because it's the Brownies. Wouldn't shock me if Joey Vicious had a 800 yard season and 60 catches. Braylon Edwards says he'll be ready for the opener, if so, I think he's the #1. I see what you are saying..... but Bryant has alot more talent then Joe does. Bryant can also get downfield. I think it would be reasonable to expect anywhere from 600-750 yards from Joe with 3 or 4 TDs.
jman316 0 Posted August 30, 2006 JoeJ is a redzone beast. His wicked stiff-arm will get him across the goal line at least 6 time this year. Maybe more if Frye can perform a little better than expected. I have a feeling he'll be an en vogue WW pickup after the first few games of the season. Let Da Big Dog Eat 38 Posted August 30, 2006 Just saying, the guy simply produces when he plays. Last year 10 TD's in limited action. And now, the #1 WR on his team. Being pushed by a guy who has never really played (Edwards) with a second year QB. He should be on your radar. Yeah, there are guys with more talent. Everyone is looking for that "sleeper" you can stash on your bench. But, he doesn't get any love even in that role. And, he didn't from me either, but I am keeping a close eye on him. FFOpie 0 Posted August 30, 2006 Thinking about it more, I think JJ's numbers will be much better if Edwards lasts the season w/o another injury. Frye's bound to throw at the bigger targets in JJ and KWJr. Joe certainly knows how to get open and make the QBs job easier. He's best as a possession guy which is what Cleveland really needs him for. In PPR that could be worth something. My problem with the deal is the ugly-azz football that Cleveland plays. They really seem to only pass when it need to.
shadow2k 0 Posted August 30, 2006 Don't want to hear "he sucks" responses... Because Fry sucks? Or...CLE sucks, and won't score much? I'd take him late. Real late. As a backup...to a backup.
