LoserKid 0 Posted August 31, 2006 Not sure if it's because I'm drunk or what, but for some reason I am not happy with this team at all. One of my good friends consistently was picking the guy that I had targeted every round about 5 picks ahead of me. Let me know what you think. Open for all types of drafting comments. 1.02 - Tomlinson 2.11 - Westbrook 3.02 - Chambers 4.11 - Driver 5.02 - Mason 6.11 - M. pixel_monkey 0 Posted August 31, 2006 Actually, not a bad draft. You look good to go on RB. It looks like your potential weakness is QB. As long as Warner stays healthy, I think you'll be in great shape. I have him on my team, too, but I think I may drop him in favor of another QB. NYG D is probably okay. I think they may have plugged up some holes that needed fixing. I have Atlanta as my #1 defense. In my league, we get to have two defenses. My #2 defense is Buffalo. Probably a long shot, I know. But, they are a predicted sleeper and their FFP value (about 130) has risen all through preseason. If he is still out there, I would grab Wali Lundy (RB in Houston). He is slated to be the starter and he had a good preseason. (He will start in Houston's next preseason game, too.) Davis will likely be put on IR for several weeks, or worse yet, cut from the team. Houston can't put him on the PUP because he passed his physical at the start of camp.
garyn_76 0 Posted August 31, 2006 I like your team as well. good job on the RB handcuff too. as for your only weakness (QB) Kitna with that M. Martz off. could come around when Warner goes down. Call it timing or just luck but Kitna IMO will come on strong after week 4 or 5 when the off. has come together. M. Martz is a QB dream.
BuschWack 59 Posted August 31, 2006 Westbrook is a ?. Marion was a good pick up though. I really like your WR crew. QB might need help if Warner goes down. Hopefully Kitna will outshine Warner and you can just bench him.
LoserKid 0 Posted August 31, 2006 Thanks for the encouragement guys. Anyone else see any glaring weaknesses? If you leave a link I will respond to your dilemma. I'm at work, and don't have much else to do.

Thanks man, I'm hoping the Barlow can put together a salvagable season for my #3 RB. I also just have a gut feeling that by about week 5 Barber may have stolen the starting job from JJ. Fingers crossed. QB was a bit of a dagger for me, as I watched Delhomme and Culpepper drafted just a couple picks ahead of me. I drafted another position player and then picked up Warner on the turn (either him or Favre). I had Kitna targeted as my backup and am hoping Martz can turn him into a fantasy monster. I didn't intend to draft the Giants D, but the time ran out on my pick while I was going back and forth between a WR or RB for my bench. I actually had ATL's D targeted, but oh well. Also Lundy, was drafted in the mid-rounds of my draft. I like your team as well. good job on the RB handcuff too.as for your only weakness (QB) Kitna with that M. Yeah, I figured that Warner has plenty around him to work with so he may be a top-5 fantasy QB...as long as he stays healthy. I was willing to take a chance on Kitna as my backup now that he's under Mike Martz. Steve McNair is on the WW, you think I should take a chance on him? Only reason I shyed away from him in the draft was because half my team has a bye week in either week 3 or week 9, and McNair is the same way. Westbrook is a ?. Marion was a good pick up though. I really like your WR crew. QB might need help if Warner goes down. Hopefully Kitna will outshine Warner and you can just bench him. Yeah, Westbrook seems to already have been bit by the injury bug, but I didn't realize that until this morning. Hopefully Buckhalter can stay healthy in his stead, if need be. And again, I'm hoping Marion can win the starting job in the first quarter of the season.

The Juster 0 Posted August 31, 2006 get ure self another quarterback for warner insurance, maybe another wide out for better depth, but other than that i like ure team man, good job
Small 0 Posted August 31, 2006 QB - Warner will be top 5 in terms of production until he gets hurt. I really would have gotten a better backup than Kitna if at all possible due to Warner's injury concerns. LT is solid... and getting his handcuff late was important. I'm not thrilled with your RB depth though. I really try to avoid Westy if at all possible. The guy seems like he gets dinged up all the time and since I don't see any points for receptions in your scoring system... his upside is fairly limited imo. The rest of your guys at the position have very limited upside imo Your trio of WR's in the 3rd - 5th round is downright impressive and should be solid for you as long as they stay healthy. It would have been nice to get a 4th WR ranked somewhere in the mid 30's as insurance for one of those guys going down. Witten is solid too. All in all, I think you have a team that's somewhere in the top half of your league, but I'm not sure if it's good enough to win a championship as is with no depth at the RB or QB position. CollieLove 0 Posted August 31, 2006 I sure hope you were drunk. That would be your only excuse. Hope no cash was on the line, and you were just playing for the pride you just lost.... Rate my team when you get the chance http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...p;#entry2644157
Clinker26 0 Posted August 31, 2006 I wouldn't go as far as the guy above. I think if everyone stays healthy you will be fine. You really have to worry about Warner and Westy in my opinion as you will be real weak if either of them go down. Thanks for helping with mine.
Turbodog 0 Posted August 31, 2006 I like your Wrs a ton. Thought you may have reached on MBIII a bit, i might have went with Chicago/Car there, but if you like him he probably wouldnt last much longer. Warner offers great production at a lower cost. And of course you have L to the T.
c_Weezie 3 Posted August 31, 2006 I think you had a pretty good draft. I love your top #3 WRs, BUT i hate the MB3 pick, way too early for him. You may have problems at RB if Westy goes down (he probably will). Good Luck, I give you about 7 out of 10.
