Bandite 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Ok, 12-team league--standard scoring I just traded T. Holt and Reggie Brown for L. Jordan and J. Norwood I like the trade a lot!!!! It does leave me thin at WR however, but with my two stud RB and QB. I think I will survive. What do you think My team: QB: C. Palmer, K. Warner RB: L. Tomlinson, L. Jordan, R. Droughns, J. Addai, M. Barber, J. Norwood WR. M. Jones, T. Williamson, G. Jennings, B. Engram TE. B. Watson, R. McMichael Also, I think with my rb depth, I will be able to upgrade my WR core later in the year DID I MAKE THE RIGHT MOVE?

If you trade and make upgrades then yes it will be fine.
Bandite 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Yea, I know I am thin at WR. However with G. Jennings being named the #2 WR in GB that helps me considerably With M. Jones and T. Williamson, they both have question marks, but they also have a ton of potential
Me_2006 14 Posted September 2, 2006 I would have to say no on making the right trade. I dont like Jordan all that much, and having Palmer, LT and Holt would have been a very tough threesome, grabbing top 5 players at all 3 positions. But there is hope I think. Droughns plays the Saints week 1, and should have a huge day against them. I say after week one, while his stock is high, you pair him with whatever back-up the guy you're looking to trade with wants, and bring in a more solid WR and whatever else he'll throw in. That's about all I can see working as far as upgrades unless the guy will trade you back Holt lol. Good luck though.
gobuckeyes 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Nice trade, but I would make a move for a #2 level reciever from someone who is thin at RB. Perhaps target someone like DMason or TJHoushmazilly. Maybe Stallworth could be got for a fair price. Basicly guys that you know can get you a grand of yards and be consistent performers to go along with your stud RBs. You don't have to count on a WR to win you games anymore, but you do want to make sure you get points at that position.

Williamson, they both have question marks, but they also have a ton of potential Jennings has a very shaky, INT prone QB throwing to him.....never thought I would say that about Favre. Still very iffy, IMO your going to rely on 3 guys and 2 TE's (which are better then your WR's). I hope that nothing happens to any of your big three.
Bandite 0 Posted September 2, 2006 I agree with Favre being on the downside of his career. However, GB will be behind in a lot of games and will be forced to throw quite often. Last year as #2 WR Ferguson and Chatman were decent weekly starters. BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!! I think I just brokered a trade for H. WARD R. Droughns for H. WARD straight up? Good Trade? chiz3 1 Posted September 2, 2006 Good pull after the Holt trade. You did need to upgrade your wr and pulled it off. My league trades arent allowed til after week 1 (guess thaty had problems before I joined?). There was not ONE trade made in my entire league last year, and you traded twice before opening night....I LIKE IT!!!!
