Which TE and which WR for week 1?

First, my WR dillema: Should I make my #3 Detroit's Roy Williams (vs. SEA) or Baltimore's Derrick Mason (@ TB)? You can make a very strong argument for either, and I don't believe one clearly wins out when comparing matchups. I'm leaning towards Williams. I'm already starting Randy Moss (vs. SD) and Plaxico Burress (vs. IND).

 

Second, my one TE: Baltimore's Todd Heap (@ TB) or Washington's Chris Cooley (vs. MIN). Heap would be the pick if all things were equal, but Cooley has the easier matchup this week.

I'd go with Roy Williams and Chris Cooley... simply based on matchups and game location this week.

Williams - less running and more throwing here

Heap - Wash OFF looked terrible in preseason and I don't think that just changes when the reg. season starts.

I like Mason, honestly. McNair's #1 guy.

 

Heap seems to be logical choice, normally. Of course, Fantasy Football is anything BUT normal, so...

 

You could throw all the Baltimore eggs in the basket, and hope that at least one of the two produces this week. I know, it may seem suicidal, but then again, it is the first week of the season.

 

Given the dilemma, I'd go Mason, Cooley.
