- MIA def will focus on the PIT running game

- playing at home

 

Why NOT Ward:

- no Big Ben

- Charlie Batch

- tough MIA def

- most start / sits say don't play him

- no other real receiving threat

 

Why Coles:

- no 1 WR on NYJ

- playing a WEAK Tenn DEF

 

Why NOT Coles:

- Pennington

- NYJ just not looking good

- no NYJ running game to speak of

MIA D is good but they've lost some of their key guys in the secondary over the last few seasons.

I would stick with ward. He has better potential to get TD's even though batch will be in Jets will probably be horrible no matter who they are playing.

Coles is healthy and number one and Pennington keys on him. Question is Penn's arm but I think it'll be adequate in this week's matchup.

 

Ward's health is shaky and the QB is the 2nd stringer. Granted Miami's secondary is revamped but I think it'll be good still.

I'd go with Coles. Tennessee's D stinks.

I trust H Ward much more so than L Coles. Miami is going to make Pittsburgh pass, so I think that will benefit Ward. Like you said, he's a stud. Go with the stud.

I have Ward going tonight on my team. However I was just watching ESPN and they went live to Pittsburgh and they reported that Ward said he was going to start but he did not know for how long. I guess is quote was when asked about his hammy was "I will see how long it lasts".

 

So man, I am scared to start him.

Well I am already starting Holt but my other receivers are:

 

Ward

A.Johnson

Kennison

A.Bryant

I am in the same boat and decided not to start him. I wish he would just not play get fully healthy for when Ben comes back. I also saw what ESPN reported, so I decided to start Antonio Bryant over him. Plus I am playing against him in another league, so I am hoping he does bad. LOL

Assuming you're starting two, I'd go with Ward and Johnson - I'd take the risk on Ward with the other matchups.

Tough call. I'd be inclined to go with Ward, since I think Pennington will more likely be spreading the ball around and the Jets shouldn't get too behind and have to start to pass a lot.

Ward. Week 1 you've got to go with your studs. Ward can't be benched IMO. Yeah, Batch is playing, but he can throw the ball, plus Fast Willie should be pounding the ball. On the flip side, Coles needs Pennington to get him the ball and Penningotn is unproven. Plus, they have no run game. I have Coles on a couple of my teams and I'm benching him until I see Pennington can play and the RB situation settles a bit. Go with Ward and don't look back. Any last minute advice on Ward? This really sucks! If I start Ward and he plays 1 series and tweaks his hammy than I am toast! Do you guys think he will play the whole game?
