sperri40 12 Posted September 13, 2006 this is why I like him, the targets, especially the red zone ones. Yes, it was Tennessee, but the Jets will probably be needing to catch up a lot this year, so he could be a good gamble. Bingo...
What is the deal? 1 Posted September 13, 2006 In 3 leagues, Bryant started in all 3. If Bryant is on the WW your league is a complete and total joke. it is not inconceivable that 10 people got together and picked out 50 WR's better than one with Alex Smith throwing him the ball. The guy was awful last year. I am in 8 leagues, Bryant is a free agent in one of them. These are the WR's that are taken: Clayton, Michael WR TB Jones, Matt WR JAC Bob Lelie, Ashley WR ATL Bob Moss, Santana WR WAS Bob Walker, Javon WR DEN Bob Curtis, Kevin WR STL Dead Money Fitzgerald, Larry WR ARI Dead Money Galloway, Joey WR TB Dead Money Jackson, Darrell WR SEA Dead Money Moulds, Eric WR HOU Dead Money Burleson, Nate WR SEA Dominant Diligence Driver, Donald WR GB Dominant Diligence Holt, Torry WR STL Dominant Diligence Smith, Steve WR CAR Dominant Diligence Wayne, Reggie WR IND Johnson, Chad WR CIN Mike and Matt Toomer, Amani WR NYG Mike and Matt Bruce, Isaac WR STL Mitch and Jeff Coles, Laveranues WR NYJ Mitch and Jeff Houshmandzadeh, T.J. WR CIN Mitch and Jeff McCardell, Keenan WR SD Mitch and Jeff Owens, Terrell WR DAL Mitch and Jeff Caldwell, Reche WR NE Right Field Horn, Joe WR NO Right Field Jurevicius, Joe WR CLE Right Field Stallworth, Donte' WR PHI Right Field Williams, Roy WR DET Right Field Burress, Plaxico WR NYG Rob's Rockets Gabriel, Doug WR NE Rob's Rockets Kennison, Eddie WR KC Rob's Rockets Moss, Randy WR OAK Rob's Rockets Williamson, Troy WR MIN Rob's Rockets Boldin, Anquan WR ARI Seth Glenn, Terry WR DAL Seth Holmes, Santonio WR PIT Seth Muhammad, Muhsin WR CHI Seth Smith, Rod WR DEN Seth Brown, Reggie WR PHI Stinky Bennett, Drew WR TEN Stinky Harrison, Marvin WR IND Stinky Porter, Jerry WR OAK Stinky Ward, Hines WR PIT Chambers, Chris WR MIA Mike Johnson, Andre WR HOU Mike Johnson, Keyshawn WR CAR Mike Mason, Derrick WR BAL Mike Wilford, Ernest WR JAC Mike Branch, Deion WR NE Mike and Matt Clayton, Mark WR BAL Mike and Matt Evans, Lee WR BUF Mike and Matt The only guys that I can see where Bryant would be clear cut over are Santonio Holmes (dude's 1st year in the league, rest of the league has been together for more than 5 years). If Lelie and Porter find a home that could be productive elsewhere. Gabriel or Caldwell could be the #1 in New England's offense w/ one of the best QB's throwing them the ball. Needless to say, I am trying to snag up Bryant and drop Burleson since Branch is going to be in Seattle now... I stayed away from him early because I have the likes of David Terrell (#1 in Chicago a few years ago) on my roster in previous seasons. Bad QB play can kill a talented WR. Just because a few guys get together and don't think Bryant is roster worthy, doesn't mean the league is weak. Regardless, why wouldn't you want to play in a weak league? We are playing for money right?

What is the deal? 1 Posted September 13, 2006 How about Chad Pennington? I'm considering dropping Drew Brees for Chad, maybe wait one more week Ever since watching Brees in the preseason, I'm not sure he has anything left. Although, I wouldn't over react to Pennington just yet, especially if you have to pay for transactions... Wtf was that? Long. Too Long. I get the point, don't sweat it. yeah, those 3 paragraphs and that list must have been real tough for you to read
sperri40 12 Posted September 13, 2006 Ever since watching Brees in the preseason, I'm not sure he has anything left. I agree...ever watch ESPN when Brees was with Purdue? He would throw 60 passes/week! He probably has a dead-arm...I don't know, I am no Dr. Van Nostrand, but I agree that he may be somewhat shot.
