Dascoopman 0 Posted September 16, 2006 Just with the 2 names you mentioned I wouldn't do it but based on your current WR's and RB's I'd say you should probably do it cause if one of your WR's goes down your gonna be hurting.
Sluggo2 0 Posted September 16, 2006 Do it because: You need depth at WR. GB will be throwing when playing from behind. Green will eventually have a knee or groin issue - always does. GB won't be in the red zone enough for him to enjoy his usual 10 yard off-tackle scamper or screen pass for a TD that has always been his bread and butter plays. hadji 0 Posted September 16, 2006 It all depends on if you think DJax is going to stay healthy. If you think he will then you should do the trade in a heartbeat. You have good depth at RB so losing Green won't hurt you that much and you will strengthen your WR's which is what you need. If you think DJax won't stay healthy, which is what I believe, I would look to make a different move. If you can move Jordan I would because he is going to be a bust this year. Norv Turner is gone and Old Man River offensive coordinator has no idea what he's doing. You might have to wait til he has a good game before you can do it though. help me out: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233469
beantownbrown 0 Posted September 16, 2006 Given your team, I would do it. Green has some injury concern as well, and you have a surplus of backs. If DJax stays healthy he could be a low end #1 in fantasy. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233491
budman1 0 Posted September 16, 2006 i wouldn't do it. yes you do lack wr depth but i think you can do better. i keep asking myself, why did seattle go and get branch when they have burleson and engram? now who is #1 and #2? imo. see mine please
J5 0 Posted September 16, 2006 I would do it. I just traded for D. Jackson myself. Everyone is worried about Branch. It gives Seattle a legitimate #2 wr like when they had Robinson. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233375
Nate Burleson's Burly Son 0 Posted September 16, 2006 I would not. I've got Green on my team, and the fact that they gave him the ball 20 times while down all day, while producing 110 against one of the stiffest run Ds in the league is very encouraging. Jackson is less than 100% right out of the gate this year, and Seattle appears poised to become one of the premier WRBC teams in the league (ala New England.) When I evaluate players, I certainly take past performance into account, but too often people are swayed by the general concensus of popular opinion, as in " Green Bay stinks, Green is seconds away from injury, D-Jax is a stud). Despite the rankings and projections, what did your own eyes tell you about Green this first week? What about Jackson? If my guess is correct, and Green is on his way to a monster season, give him another week or two. You'll be able to get a much better WR for him then if you feel you must trade him. Blue Balls 0 Posted September 16, 2006 I'd do it b/c you still have Wali to back up your other 3 RB's.
quincyxg 0 Posted September 16, 2006 Well, I dunno. DJax always gets hurt and the Wr scenario in Seattle is confusing. I think they got branch because burleson isn't what they thought he was and because Djax is hurt all the time. A. green is no stud, but if the raiders don't get it going, you will wish you hadn't traded him away if jordan has a bad year. Stand for now. Thanks for my reply

LT Baby 0 Posted September 16, 2006 Wait a few weeks before you pull that trigger. The word is Green is in great shape and determined to have a great year so he should be good til week 6. Green has a real easy run defense schedule this year and should have a nice game vs the Saints boosting his trade value and then get more value than DJax. I do not like Djax he is also injury prone plus Hass has new aquired and HIGHLY PAID Branch he will have to target and Sea spreads the ball at it is so I don't expect much from DJax you can get a better wr for Green. kbtegp 0 Posted September 16, 2006 I wouldn't. WRs are a fickle beast. I'd try to move Lundy while he is the starter. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233561

Jayded 0 Posted September 16, 2006 I wouldn't worry about Branch near as much as DJax's health. When he's healthy, he's worth his ADP and produces for your team. I agree with the others that you need WR depth, so I'd do this trade. Maybe then consider picking up Gado if he's on your wire and solidifying the Houston backfield until they've firmly decided on a starter and losing Ahman won't be that big of a loss. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233566
