LT Baby 0 Posted September 17, 2006 Problem: I am leaning towards starting A. Green over Caddy. (Brown & Dunn other starters) Details: We can start 3 rbs. 1pt per rush attempt, 1pt-rec, 1pt-10yds, 6-tds, it is a points not head to head league. Proposed starters: Ronnie Brown vs Buff Dunn vs TB Green vs NO Rationale: (remember each carry=1pt) Green: 1. Had good game vs Bears (even though many yrds during garbage time) out scored Caddy by 20pts. 2. According to insiders Green is in great shape and motivated to have a bounce back year. 3. Coaches have said they will rely on the run to help out Farve. 20 carries last week more this week? 4. Playing the Saints @ home, looks like it could be rainy/muddy (more carries) 5. Coaches must have faith in Green as they destroyed the 3 headed moster(Davenport & Gado both gone) Williams: 1. Only had 8 rushes last week (lost by 1pt 10 carries=Win) 2. Experiencing Back spasams 3. Playing on the road vs a improved Atl def. 4. TB offense looked pathetic could fall behind early again. 5. Gruden may play it safe with Caddy's back=less carries However: 1. Caddy had good games vs Atl last year 2. Atl D line is banged up 3. Key to success for TB is to get the Caddy going. but is it enough??? Lets go, talk me out of it.
James 0 Posted September 17, 2006 PROBABLY ONLY TIME I WOULD ACTUALLY START GREEN OVER CADDY.....TAKE A SHOT....MATCHUP IS GOOD.....ALTHOUGH ATLANTA WILL HAVE SOME ? ON D THIS WEEK....PLEASE SEE MINE. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233760
Beyond Chaos 75 Posted September 17, 2006 Your reasoning is good, but I'd say go with Caddy because Gruden rested him not only because he was having back spasms, but also because they were losing bad. He didn't want to risk further injury for games that were slightly more important like the Atlanta game. It's a division game and this game would set Tampa 2 back early in the division. I think Gruden wants this one more and wanted Caddy as healthy as possible considering the circumstances. I may be way off, but I feel you shouldn't trade in the Caddy just yet. bobpate17 0 Posted September 17, 2006 I say go with caddy. Atl has weak run D. and caddy should do the job. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233761

STEELERMAN 0 Posted September 17, 2006 Green has a nice matchup this week but sometimes it isnt always about the matchup! I couldnt bring myself to bench Caddy..dont forget he was playing the Ravens D last week! I would start Caddy again...I see his workload increasing this week!
