runninkyle17 0 Posted September 19, 2006 Okay here is my team: QBs: Bledsoe Plummer (I am dropping him for Grossman, but the waiver doesn't go through until tomorrow) V. Young RBs: Ronnie Brown Gore Joseph Addai Mewelde Moore (dropping him and picking up Bills D, but again waiver not official till tomorrow) WRs: Santana Moss Driver T. Williamson Reggie Brown Kennison (thinking about dropping him for a week to pick up a back TE and then pick him back up b/c no one in my league really wants him, but I figure he will get better numbers later in the year) TE: Gates (going to try and pickup a backup this week, b/c Gates has a bye week) K: John Carney DST: Seahawks So Bledsoe and Gates have a bye week. I am fourth on the waiver priority list and only one other team looks like they might need to pick a QB up, so I am hoping I will sneak in there. 1) Should I start T. Williamson or Reggie Brown? The Vikings go up against Chicago and Philly is up against SF. So I am thinking I should go with Brown. 2) If I do not get Grossman, I want to pick up Brad Johnson, but that all depends on in V. Young will get more playing time this week. I mean, he did have ten points this week in my league. Anyway, if I get Grossman I will definately start him. But if I don't get Grossman, I will pick up B. Johnson and start him. Either way Plummer is out of there!!! 3) Now onto RB's. Miami is up against the Titans, so Ronnie Brown is starting...period. Gore is up against Philly and Addai is up against the Jags. I am partial to Gore b/c Jacksonville just shut-down the Steelers running game, so I am not sure how much success Addai will have against Jacksonville or if he will even play that much. So to make a long story short...should I start Gore or Addai? 4) Now for a defense question. Seahawks are up against the Giants and the Bills are up against the Jets. Assuming I pick up the Bills, should I go with them this week instead of Seattle at D? I mean, Buffalo has put up some impressive numbers, but the 'Hawks suprised me with Arizona by keeping them at 10 points. I know these are a lot of questions and this post is long, but if you reply leave your link at the bottom and I will try and help you out!
mrgymrat 0 Posted September 19, 2006 1- Reggie Brown 2- I would drop Young as he would more than likely not start over Bledsoe or Grossman. I think Cutler would have more promise of replacing Plummer than Young putting up decent enough #'s to warrant a start. 3- Gore (no doubt) 4- Seahawks D (better team w/ better special teams play) ---- thanks 4 already answering mine
Pound 0 Posted September 19, 2006 1. I like Williamson and would start him over Reggie most weeks.. but the matchups Scream for Brown. 2. Forget Young. Ten will not have a good passing QB worth starting all year. 3. Gore is the #1 rb in my league thru 2 weeks. He's my new #1. Will take a crazy situation for me not to start him. I suggest you start him too. 4. I dont think defenses can be predicted too often unless they are playing against Arron Brooks. Go with your gut.
manstretch 0 Posted September 19, 2006 1) Reggie has a better matchup, but it could be a tossup. 2) I would drop Young instead of Plummer... he was a top 10 QB last year you know. 3) Gore, he looks great so far. 4) Eli is looking better than Pennington, I would go with the Bill's def. Bleed Purple 0 Posted September 19, 2006 1. Brown 2. I would hang onto Plummer for a couple more weeks. If he gets going with Walker, he can turn his season around. 3. Gore 4. I like the Bills defense this week. Thanks for answering mine. Good luck.
dd2005 0 Posted September 19, 2006 1. Brown - no doubt 2. Grossman or Johnson - in that order - dump Plummer. 3. Gore 4. Seahawks - game is in Seattle, and Seahawks are the best D Eli will face so far (PHI and INDY not as good) Thanks for mine...
Usual21 0 Posted September 19, 2006 1 - Reggie Brown. McNabb will share the love all over SF. 2- Grossman 3- Gore. Dude is one of the top RB's right now. 4- Seahawks D. Jets will throw alot and BUF might get burnt for big plays.
jizzatch 0 Posted September 19, 2006 Agree with previous post. However, be careful of Brown's injury status. You may not have a choice but to start Williamson.
