Dante 0 Posted September 20, 2006 I do not like the moves. Dayne is worthless so I will eliminate him from my example. You traded away Holt and Droughns in return for J Walker, D Williams, and L Jordan. You traded away the best player (Holt). All of your QBs could be benched by week 6. Your depth is better but your starters are not.
JoseyWales 0 Posted September 20, 2006 Picking up Dayne seems like making a move just for the sake of making a move. And I think you might have given up on Rod Smith too early. I'd rather have him than Berrian. Denver's offense will get better and Chicago's will get worse. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=235188
EndAround 0 Posted September 21, 2006 Dayne was a WW move to replace Dom Davis - I dumped Smith simply because I can't see myself ever starting Smith and Walker together, and Smith has no trade value in my league at the moment. Droughns has looked horrible against NO and CIN (well, the Browns O-line had a lot to do with that), while Jordan struggled against SD and BAL. With recent comments about getting Jordan more involved in the passing game, I felt he had more upside and an easier schedule since the Browns still have PIT and BAL twice. The Holt transaction was a tough one, but it looks like STL is becoming more run-oriented and 30 yards vs SF is not comforting. I think Walker will be serviceable and D Williams has a lot of potential, especially since I get points for return yards. After S Alexander and C Taylor, I had only Jordan (I agree that Ron Dayne is useless at this point) so I was willing to roll the dice a bit. Any more thoughts? just_want_2_win 0 Posted September 21, 2006 I don't know if I would have traded Holt so soon but getting rid of Droughns, Davis, and R. Smith isn't bad. R. Smith is on the decline and I don't take it on gospel that Denver's O will improve while Chicago's will decline. I think Chicago might not keep up it's current pace BUT they'll probably still be good offensively even if Grossman goes down due to having Griese and a nice schedule. J. Walker will cut into R. Smith's numbers anyway. Thanks for mine.
ziggyschiefs 0 Posted September 21, 2006 looks pretty good, you could probably loose kitna for a 2nd Def or kicker as needed but it looks pretty strong. you'l have to hope that lamont starts producing but overall i think you should do well. you have a good balance of big stars and up and comers, maybe look to move dayne for someone else (jacobs, barber III, buckhalter, etc.) http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=235731
