Melvinbet 5 Posted September 23, 2006 There is a guy in my league that is hell bent on making a trade now. Here is his team: QB's Culpepper, Bulger, Pennington, Grossman RB's Jordan, A. Green, Droughns, T. Henry, S. Jax WR's Berrian, Burress, Chad Jackson, Mason, R. Moss, Muhammed, S. Smith TE's Gonzales, Miller K Rackers Def Cinci My team is in my sig. Is there anything I could give up/get from this team than would make my team better? I would really like to go two for one to free up space for waiver pickups. Cotchery would be nice to have if Coles can't play. There are other quality players out there. (Some of the guys in my league don't really do much for pickups, don't initiate any trades etc. A couple guys are lucky to get their lineup in on time. There are 4-5 of us that actually do our homework and try to better our teams. One team even has Curtis Martin on their roster. We are an 8 team league) Thanks for any input, (even yours mfm)
jman316 0 Posted September 23, 2006 If you're a gamblin' man, you might consider getting Lamont on the cheap. He can't be as bad as the first two games all season (can he?) and it looks like you could use some more RB depth (especially if Gore comes back down to earth. Melvinbet 5 Posted September 23, 2006 Who would I want to give up if I took a gamble on Jordan? Any possible scenarios for any players would be greatly appreciated.
madd futher mucker 36 Posted September 23, 2006 I absolutely hate 8 team leagues and 20 player rosters. Having said that, his team sucks and your team rocks. Go after Steve Smith NOW. Try Freddie for Smith straight up. You have great depth at RB and he has crap....exploit that! Forget Jordan! My guess is that he is 0-2 and maybe a little desperate, so try for Smith - his WRs aint too bad without him. I also like Penny as a QB, but only for favorable matchups. Good luck! mike06 0 Posted September 23, 2006 go after either smith or burress, you need another stud WR!
cactuscat34 0 Posted September 23, 2006 I agree, your team is like USC vs Florida Atlantic. However if he's an idiot: Convince him that S. Smith will be injured for an extended period, or if he's a real idiot, get him to trade you S. Jax 2for1 for any 2 of your RBs other than barber and gore. You might also work in a better QB backup like Pennington or (gulp) R. Grossman. And, yes, open up a spot and pickup crotchery, he's already better than Keyshawn and Javon. rottytiny 7 Posted September 23, 2006 Go for Smith or Plax plus Jordan FOR Taylor and 1 or 2 of your WR's-Colston or Keyshawn or Glenn. Good Luck.
dats007 1 Posted September 23, 2006 I like what everybody else has been saying. I'd try to grab Steve Smith or LaMont Jordan while they have low or no value. I'd see about trying to package F.Taylor & Keyshaun (or Glenn).
seattleslew 0 Posted September 23, 2006 Agree with everyone here. I would go after Smith. Start with something like Taylor for Smith straight up. Looks like he's dying for an RB If that doesn't work sweeten a bit with one of your unused receivers.
vinniedasquid 0 Posted September 23, 2006 How many receivers do you start? The guy on his roster I'm highest on that would actually do you some good is Burress, but if he has any sense Plax won't come too cheap and you'd have to give up a bit of depth somewhere. Steve Smith would be a great pickup but you need to strike before he starts playing again.
