sweetlegends 0 Posted September 27, 2006 My team is below: I feel pretty good about my chances this year, but I want to do all I can to ensure a successful season. I can pick up Maurice Jones-Drew off the waiver, but I would have to drop Bandon Jacobs. I am wondering your opinion on who you think will be the best performer this season. I like what I see out of Jacobs, the Giants are working him into the offense, and giving him goal line carries. I also think the Giants will manage their offense better going forward. Jones-Drew should get some decent playing time, and Taylor is a definite injury candidate. I appreciate your help!! QB McNabb Brees RB L.T Julius Jones Kevin Jones Reuben Droughns Brandon Jacobs WR Larry Fitzgerald Terrell Owens Roy Williams Lee Evans TE Ben Watson Heath Miller
NebraskaRRT 0 Posted September 27, 2006 i would stick with Jacobs I think.
jdizel 0 Posted September 27, 2006 That's a toss up. If Talor goes down then Maurice Jones-Drew will be huge. If not, they will be pretty equal all year in my opinion. I think Maurice Jones-Drew has more upside though. Why not drop one of your tightends?
FFBGuy 0 Posted September 27, 2006 I think Jacobs can be a decent bye-week fill in since he figure to get the goal-line carries plus some additional work giving Tiki a breather. However, Jones-Drew could very well see a feature role should something happen to Fred Taylor (very likely). I think Jacobs is the safer play but Jones-Drew could offer more reward if Taylor breaks something. Lineup Help Please
Dwight Schrute 0 Posted September 27, 2006 I would be tempted to grab Jones-Drew. He has a better shot at getting touches - either through a Taylor injury, or just through being good. He'll get the rock throughout the field, and though Jacobs will vulture some goalline TDs, he's just not gonna get the looks that Jones-Drew will.
Bbronco 0 Posted September 27, 2006 I think if you are betting on an injury, then Jones-Drew is the way to go. Jaccobs has more upside but he is behind a far superior Tiki Barber (compared to Fred Taylor). So it depends what you belive is going to happen. I dropped Jacobs myself. check out mine please http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...p;#entry2729930

I think Maurice Jones-Drew has more upside though. Why not drop one of your tightends? You can't drop a tight end this week because I'm assuming you want to stick with miller after the bye. I'd drop jacobs because Drew has more of a shot at the starting role or more looks even if taylor doesn't go down. Jacobs will only give you as many carries as drew if tiki gets injured which is rare mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=237890
granta_05 3 Posted September 27, 2006 I think these are close, but I think I might go with Jones-Drew because Taylor seems to get hurt every year.
Melvinbet 5 Posted September 27, 2006 Would the Tiki owner in your league be interested in Jacobs? You could always trade Jacobs and ? for ? (2 for 1) and free up a roster spot to pick up Jones-Drew. Here's mine
c_Weezie 3 Posted September 27, 2006 I say go Jones-Drew. He has more upside. return the favor http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=237923
