gdilly 0 Posted October 1, 2006 Going defense by committee, so I've definitely got an eye on the Raiders schedule. But would you really go with the Browns D against the Raiders instead of, say, the Cowboys D against Tennessee?
BMoney 0 Posted October 1, 2006 i dont think vince will be THAT awful.... but i see the point..does vinces scrambling add more chances for sacks? or will he avoid them? i know one thing...andrew walter is a sitting duck...he will be sacked as often as david carr does... gdilly 0 Posted October 1, 2006 Is there any chance the bye week gave Walter time to get a bit more comfortable, the line a chance to gel, and Shell an opportunity to figure out that 12 step drops combined with mid-range passes might not be the best strategy? I suppose that is asking for a lot, especially the bit about Art Shell actually showing the ability to adapt his gameplan. But do the Browns have the firepower to make the Raiders pay, even if they don't improve much?
wak 0 Posted October 1, 2006 Going defense by committee, so I've definitely got an eye on the Raiders schedule. But would you really go with the Browns D against the Raiders instead of, say, the Cowboys D against Tennessee? I would start Dallas in that case, but if I had a defense with an unfavorable matchup, Id definitely look at grabbing the Browns. Even if they give up 10-20 pts, Im sure they'll be able to get 2-3 turnovers, and a handful of sacks. Some top D's I would bench for the Browns... Jax vs Was - Brunell does not throw many picks, or take many sacks. With Portis back, they won't be nearly as bad as they were in week 1-2. SD vs Balt - McNair, like Brunell, is good at protecting the ball. If your D scoring is primarily based on sacks and turnovers, Id look elsewhere.
gmeyers01 0 Posted October 1, 2006 I picked up an am starting the Brown defense today with Denver having a bye this week. Let's hope this theory works!
WhoDat 1 Posted October 1, 2006 I'm liking Dallas' ded vs Tenn this week. I don't care if Vince is starting. Dallas will make Vince pay and pay big in his first nfl start..
2bmayhem 1 Posted October 1, 2006 Picked up the Cleveland D this week. Pondering starting them over the Jags.
FantasyChick 0 Posted October 1, 2006 Picked up the Cleveland D this week. Pondering starting them over the Jags. Same with me. I also have the Bills going against Minnestoa in another league and own the Browns in that one too. I actually drafted the Browns in 2 different a must draft 2 D and start 1 league. This site seemed to have Browns D ranked pretty high.
throttlers 0 Posted October 1, 2006 I have the Bengals D on bye in week 5. Unless Oakland looks like a different team today, I will be picking up SF to play against them week 5.
