lechuza 0 Posted March 24, 2007 Thank you #1!! what a game that was. Luckily the ref giving the Leafs a goal angered the sabres so they decided to just embarrass Toronto

lechuza 0 Posted March 24, 2007 the good thing is that Toronto probably isnt going to make the playoffs, the bad thing is that we wont have the joy of seeing the Sabres sweep Toronto in the first round
thePIMPmaster 0 Posted March 24, 2007 Holy fockin sh1t. Was at the game. Speachless. That third period was insane. We had about 4 Leaf fans next to us and they were in shock. Tonight was the type of game where if a non-hockey fan went, they would have been hooked. The atmosphere was amazing. Probably about 12,000 Sabres fans and 7,000 Leaf fans. You talk about an incredible atmosphere. The chants did not stop throughout the enitre game.

TommyGavin 790 Posted April 9, 2007 SO Sabres win first game of year - BRING IT ON !!!!!!! Isles in 6 They will "solve" Miller. Our D will slow the fast paced O - (ex-Isle) Connolly will spoke a blunt before the game and be useless.

Odie 0 Posted April 21, 2007 who's next? The Rangers and King Hank The only good thing about buffalo is the wings and burgers. Rangers are gonna steamroll your team
TommyGavin 790 Posted April 21, 2007 Rangers are gonna steamroll your team YES they are :puke: Lets Go :puke: Rangers just for one series and one series only Also depends on Devils finishing off Lighting
Foghorn Leghorn 0 Posted April 21, 2007 The Rangers and King Hank The only good thing about buffalo is the wings and burgers. Rangers are gonna steamroll your team That's presuming the Devils make it through - with Lecavalier, Richards, St. Louis, Boyle and others still around, I'm guessing Devils fans aren't mailing it in quite yet. Either way, Buffalo's got too many weapons to lose to either the Lightning or the Rangers, though my guess is they'd rather play the Rangers - the Lightning are explosive enough to possibly keep up with the Sabres. Miller's been very hot and cold so far in the playoffs - it kinda surprised me after how rock solid he was last year. Any concerns amongst Sabres fans? Miller's been very hot and cold so far in the playoffs - it kinda surprised me after how rock solid he was last year. Any concerns amongst Sabres fans? the team certainly wasn't fully in sinc with each other during the islanders series, but i think that they might just not have cared as much because they new that they would win the series, i hope that they come out with a more desperate attitude in the next round. As for Miller, although he has let in some questionable goals, this is nothing new, the thing is that when its time to make the needed big save, like last night, there is no other goalie in the league i would rather have to make it for the team. Odie 0 Posted April 21, 2007 Rangers right now have the three most important things a playoff team needs 1- Hot Goaltender 2- Best player left in the playoffs in Jagr 3- Hottest team going into the playoffs Buffalo - NYR wont be a defensive series at all. Its gonna come down to who can score more and who has more offensive power. 2 months ago, I would have taken the sabres in 5 easily. but 2 months ago Avery, Hossa, Cullen, Straka, Callahan, Nylander werent scoring or with the team. Add those guys in with Shanny and Jagr who have been awesome, and we can match the sabres depth. On the blue line, the Sabres get the edge, but we get the edge in net. So in my mind, its a fairly even series. Do I think the Rangers can be competitive in the series? FOCK YEH Do I think the Rangers can win? but will be a great series. there are 2 conference finals that the NHL would LOVE TO SEE RIGHT NOW. Sens - Sabres Rangers - Devils Those 2 matchups , would be a blast to watch as a hockey fan in general.
thePIMPmaster 0 Posted April 21, 2007 FOCK OFF NHL and their cronies HANDED you this focking series. Miller sucks and you are finshed in the next round EVEN if that someone is (dare I say) the Ranjerks NHL didn't hand the Sabres anything. The right calls were made, whether an upset Islanders fan wants to believe it or not. Miller outplayed DiPietro, shutting up everyone who was so quick to say DP was the better American goalie. Think again. Miller made huge save after huge save when the team needed it. DP stood on his head one game, then went back to mediocrity. The Rangers won't be easy, but I don't see them beating the Sabres 4 out of 7. The Sabres didn't play well, and still handled the Isles in 5 games and controlled play for the vast majority of the series. Now the Sens, that's a team that would worry me. Lundqvist is what really bothers me about the NYR. But the Sabres aren't the lifeless, useless Thrashers. They had one player to shut down, and Avery went to work on him. The Sabres have 4 scoring lines. He can't shut down and disrupt everyone. Sabres in 6.

'nough said. Right calls my hairyass

Buffalo is the LAST Team i wanted to play. Drury may be my favorite NHL player, and I know in a big spot, hes deadly. Miller looked shaky at times, and the Rangers need to challenge him often. It will def be a fun series, but Sabres in 6 sounds about right, wouldnt suprise me if it was Rangers in 6 as well. I cant hate on the sabres, I wish I could, but I have mucho respect for Drury and Ruff. So Good luck Sabs fans, its gonna be a fun series ( should the devils finish off TB )

It just happened to go the Sabres way, but the series wasn't decided by that call.
