davebg 0 Posted October 6, 2006 Went to Stanton Social in NYC last night for dinner. It is quickly becoming one of Mrs. DaveBG and my favorites. On the menu last night (everything is appetizer sized and meant for sharing): duck empanadas w/spicy dipping sauce french onion soup dumplings - dumplings filled w/french onion soup, served w/melted cheeze over them corn dog crabcakes - corn dogs, but instead of a hot dog inside, crabcake meatballs & ravioli - unfortunately, by the time these came out we were stuffed and didn't really get a chance to enjoy them kobe beef pizza burger sliders BBQ pulled pork sliders fresh hot donut balls w/chocolate, caramel and raspberry dipping sauce

davebg 0 Posted October 6, 2006 Red snapper tacos I wanted to order those last night, but got vetoed. Ah well...next time. Usually is obnoxiously packed. Thursday night is the time to go... stay away on weekend. Yeah, we went after work and made a reservation for 6:30, which is like right when they open. By the time we were done and leaving the downstairs was packed, not sure about upstairs in the lounge. Have you ever tried to go after a night of drinking? The kitchen is open 'till 2 or 3AM. I wonder how packed it is at those times.
