GBFAVRE4 0 Posted October 8, 2006 I sure did, and believe that if Westy is out for an extended amount of time Moats will start, in addtion that Buck played like garbage vs GB...........
Turf CamelToe 1 Posted October 8, 2006 I am stacked at RB, but if I needed someone I think Moats is better than Buckhalter

hotgumbo1 12 Posted October 8, 2006 what makes Moats all of a sudden the starter? I thought it had already been decided that if Westy is out, Buck toated the rock.

DamageIncVacc 6 Posted October 8, 2006 Confusing is what this is. Buck is the starter according to Reid but Moats played well in relief of Westbrook last year (Buck was not in the equation) and I am part of the Eagles message board and they believe in Moats for some reason and not Buck. I think Buck starts but he plays like he did Monday and Moats is in there fast. For this week it is tough to figure out who to play but the safe play this week (in my opinion) is Buck. I think Moats from what I saw of him last year has the talent and basiacally is a Westbrook type. Link? I think its his opinion rather than anything you would find in a link. Most philly fans I know and talk with on the eagles board want moats to start but its rieds descision and he has (for this game chosen Buck)

Definitely more the mold of Westy. I hope ge gets the opportunity today cuz my opponent has Westy.
DamageIncVacc 6 Posted October 8, 2006 There has been some mention in the philly media of Moats playing a bigger role such as this article from the philly inquirer which mentions Moats but never mentions Buck. http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/sports/15703859.htm Running back Brian Westbrook (5.8 yards per carry) missed last week's game with right knee inflammation. He provides a mismatch with any Cowboys defense, but he didn't practice this week and is listed as questionable. Without him, Ryan Moats, who has proven he can get to the outside, will become a bigger factor for the Eagles. Same with this article which does the same http://www.centredaily.com/mld/centredaily...es/15665426.htm RUSH OFFENSE: A pair of red-zone fumbles killed two first-half scoring drives. But Ryan Moats helped kick-start the ground game early in the second half. Donovan McNabb rushed for two TDs for the first time in his career. Here is another http://eagles.scout.com/2/575227.html?refi...13162&ATT=5 Relying more on the passing game and Ryan Moats to carry the ball, the Eagles looked rejuvenated in the second half. Moats carried the ball 7 times for 22 yards.
Dillon's Groin 0 Posted October 8, 2006 I've got Moats stashed on three rosters. One a keeper. Two dynasty. And I have Buck in one dynasty. I am a Westbrook owner in one league and have Moats handcuffed in that particular league. If Westbrook can't go for an extented amount of time (weeks) then I hope Moats eventually becomes the primary backup. My wishful thinking anyways . . . cgod 0 Posted October 9, 2006 Had him as a keeper and had dropped him earlier in the year. Picked him up before the game not in hopes of him starting but in case Westbrook did play and aggravated the injury as I would have no shot on WW next week. Last time I had the urge was a few weeks ago with Maurice Morris and resisted. Later that day was when SA went down so this time I went with it and looks like I swung and missed again. Oh well nothing ventured nothing gained.
