tpn01 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Must pick 2 B Berrian @ Arizona S Smith @ Baltimore D Jackson @ STL I know "always start your studs no matter the matchup" but this week is tough. Smith is coming along nicely but facing a great DEF. DJax plays a team that leads in takeaways. Any help is appreaciated. Will answer yours.
just_want_2_win 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Berrian for sure. I'd go with DJax. Better matchup. I had Smith last year and when he faced potent DEFs he would have poor games. Maybe Keyshawn will help spread Balt's D but I think it won't help much. Smith YPR is down quite a bit this year and so are his TDs. Be warned though that in Seattle the ball will be spread around a lot. Engram has a thyroid problem but J. Stevens is coming back so Hass has lots of targets. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243330
Steve-O-328 0 Posted October 12, 2006 i would never bench a healthy Smith and Berrian is smokin' so djax is the odd man out. Thanks for the reply and I grabbed Welker already but still need someone else.
redshirtrookie 0 Posted October 12, 2006 last week the Ravens D gave up about 100yds and a TD through the air. theyre giving up 150 passing yds per game as well. in an offense that relies heavily on Smith this is should be good news for you. i wouldnt sit Smith for either of the options you mentioned, but if engram is out, Djax looks like the go to for SEA. burleson isnt doing anything spectacular and branch is still learning the offense. if youre absolutely set on sitting Smith, start Djax for that reason alone. Amen G-men 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Thanks for reply. I would go Berrian against Arizona and DJax over Smith against that tough D.
botwp 0 Posted October 12, 2006 I'd start Smith and D Jax... Smith is a must start every week and DJax will be in a shoot-out with St Louis Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243326
nosferatu9368 0 Posted October 12, 2006 I'd go with Smith and Jackson. Smith is an every week player no matter who he is playing and Jackson could be in a high scoring game and without SA they will be passing all day, Berrian has looked good but the Bears could be up 14-0 in the first 5 minutes of the game allowing them to run all game long. Peace Good Luck...
Beef Ravioli 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Berrian and Smith. Here's mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243236
senar 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Smith and Berrian. Jackson is splitting receptions with too many receivers
hawkvike 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Thanks for the help. First of all, I don't think you can go wrong...all three will do well. I guess I would go back to "always start your studs" since it is so close. For that reason only, I would go with Smith and DJax. However, there's a good chance Berrian has a nice game against Arizona. Tough call...I would still go with Smith and DJax...if you are going to sit one of these guys, I would sit Smith. By the way, I traded Hasselbeck and Ward for Favre and Holt like you suggested...thanks again.
Darb33 0 Posted October 13, 2006 I think Berrian is a start until he slows down and there are no signs of that right now. And never bench your studs unless you have a LOCK behind them on the bench. While DJax is nice I don't think he's a lock to perform this week so stick with Steve Smith.
T Man 0 Posted October 13, 2006 Smith and D Jack. Studs and their QBs first look always. There are worries about Branch and D Jack but he and Hasselbeck are tight and the ST Louis game will be big score. Smith is too good to ever sit. He will burn you if you sit him. luemewinks 0 Posted October 13, 2006 no question, i think you've got to go Berrian. And I'd take DJax over Smith. I own Keyshawn and it looks like its just a tossup each week for who will get more receptions. You're risking less with DJax.
