Me_2006 14 Posted October 12, 2006 Here's the deal. In one of my leagues I'm having some trouble deciding who to start this week at RB and at RB/WR. My RB's LJ - vs. Steelers McGahee - vs. Lions Parker- vs. Chiefs Julius Jones- vs. Texans. Chester Taylor- bye week I'm normally a "start your studs" guy, but with LJ's neck injury, his low rushing yardage last week, and the Steelers defense having just smothered LT last week, I'm looking at going in a new direction since my other three play some of the worst D's in the league. Anyone think I stick with LJ? Any thoughts on the others? Basically any input at all, I need to start two and we're a standard scoring no PPR league. Thanks in advance. As always, leave a link and I'll get back ASAP.
luemewinks 0 Posted October 12, 2006 I think you should stick with LJ and McGahee. Dal will kill Houston and I think Jones will get less touches when they go up and Parker is a gamble. He's fast but KC has a decent D. LJ's neck issue is just overhype by the media as always. Don't sweat it. Thanks for the reply.
redshirtrookie 0 Posted October 12, 2006 i'd go with parker. he gets the touches and the looks. davenport didnt spell carries from him last week against a very good chargers D and it looks like it'll be that way moving forward. next is jones. that big lead will translate into carries. the only concern here is barber vulturing. jones mishandled a handoff last week and got hit for a loss, then barber came in for the vulture. i'd be hesitant, but theres no way both backs cant be productive against HOU. your concern for LJ is legit. he plays a very good run defense. on top of that mcgahee leads in yds, but lacks in TDs. the lions are alos a good run defense, giving up only 95 YPG and 1 rushing TD this year. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243343
lv_2_hack 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Nope, go with McGahee and Parker. Remember steelers running game?? Yeah hasn't been good lately, think cowher will let that stand?? Parker will have a good game as will McGahee.
Spohn 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Id go with mcgahee and J. Jones. I know its tough to sit LJ this week but i think these 2 will have great games. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243395
Me_2006 14 Posted October 12, 2006 Good stat on the Lions rush D. I may bench McGahee now. Still unconvinced about starting JJ and FWP. Seems a little risky to start both. But then again, they're all risky or I wouldnt have this problem. Anymore input anyone?
nosferatu9368 0 Posted October 12, 2006 First off how did you get LJ,McGahee,Parker,JJones&Taylor WOW... I hate to say this but i'd go with Parker and Jones. LJ's injury and the Stellers D worry me and McGahee faces a pretty good run D in Detroit and I think Losman might be throwing a little more this week. Can't believe I just said all of that but thats how i'd go... Peace Good Luck...
