mgm32 0 Posted October 18, 2006 These are players available on waivers in my league I'm considering picking up: 1) Travis Henry or DeShaun Foster 2) Philip Rivers or Matt Leinhart (Oakland, Green Bay and Detroit on the schedule) 3) Reggie Williams, Lee Evans, Bryant Johnson or Chris Henry I'm dropping Cooley for a kicker this week since Gould has a bye. Am I crazy for wanting to drop Moss and/or Keyshawn for any of them? I've tried the trade route and nobody even bothers to reject my offers so I don't think anyone in our league really pays close attention to potential trades. Also, see my roster in my signature. What 2 WRs would you start this week or would you sit Westbrook and start Bell against Cleveland and 3 WRs? THANKS FOR THE HELP IN ADVANCE!!!!
Poloc2289 0 Posted October 18, 2006 i think matt leinart will get you points because of his easy schedule and weapons. also i dont think your crazy to drop moss, cause i can see no light at the end of his tunnel but i think it would be stupid to drop keyshawn. he'll get his TD's. deshaun shouldnt be on the WW, then again he wont score you a buttload of points. as for sitting westbrook, i say NO. im a firm believer in never sitting westbrook because he comes with points every week. i seen a guy do it and he lost by about 5 points that week and with westbrook he would've won by like 10. trust me, dont sit him
Guest ramrock11 Posted October 18, 2006 Don't drop them Start Bell this week
djrockstar 0 Posted October 18, 2006 It's weird. I'm in another league where early in the season there was a lot of good guys on the wire. It's actually HARDER when they're all available. I think Evans and Williams have potential to be every week players but I'm not sure they're better than KJ or Moss. Ok maybe Moss. I would target a QB though, as your WR corp seems pretty solid. I think Lienart or Rivers are fine starts but I think the Cardinals will throw more than the Chargers. Thanks for answering mine. I would be GETTING Holt and GIVING Wayne/Coles however. I took from your reply that you prefered Holt.
Guest ramrock11 Posted October 18, 2006 Rams will be throwing in a bunch of games from now until the end of the season.
mgm32 0 Posted October 18, 2006 What do the Rams have anything to do with my situation?
wiscsports1234 0 Posted October 18, 2006 I would say drop a DEF, but the two you have a both solid, so I would drop Keyshawn/Pennington 4 Leinart/Reggie Williams. Key. did good when Smith was out, but Smith is back and is a stud.
Candygram4Mongo 8 Posted October 18, 2006 1) I'd stick with your RBs, they're pretty solid especially when SA comes back, even if he's not the same as last year, he'll still be a top 10 back over the season's second half. 2)Rivers is a much more solid choice here, IMO. Spreads the ball around, lots of weapons. Cards Oline is weak, Leinert will be good more often than not, but I'd expect bumps in his road. 3) Reggie would be the only one here I would consider dropping for one of yourr slackers. He seems to be the man in jax now, Leftwich looks to half a good second half. The buffalo offense is pretty anemic. Bryant could have 1-2 good games before he's #3 again, and the whole cinci offense is wobbly right now. I could see dropping Moss, for Reggie. Reggie should be more consistent. But I'd wait on Keyshawn. Playing opposite Smith, he will have his moments. Sucks to have unresponsive owners. Dude, don't sit Westbrook. Start him with TBell, DJax and Jennings. Walker is pretty up and down. thanks for mine
ramblin'wreck 0 Posted October 18, 2006 I would either do nothing or, if pushed, drop Cooley for Travis Henry. Thanks for helping with mine.
philssteelers200 0 Posted October 18, 2006 I would either do nothing or, if pushed, drop Cooley for Travis Henry. Thanks for helping with mine. I'd dump moss for evans and cooley for henry. Thanks for help with mine.
Wizzzzard 0 Posted October 18, 2006 I would drop Meshawn for Henry, gives you some depth with some of the injuries your dealing with at RB.

I'm in agreement about Lienert, after what he did to the Bears. You need to grab him. Not a big fan of Foster, but Henry is looking like his old self (1 year removed from injuries) looks healthy again. Thanks for you input on Jackson -4- Alexander
sb2232 0 Posted October 18, 2006 First off, thanks for responding to mine. Your RB's are solid, as are youur WR's. Those are some good players available on the WW at those positions, but I don't see any of them as a vast improvement over what you have. However, the QB is a position that could use some shoring up. I'd drop Cooley, who has been for all intents and purposes, worthless this year, and pick up Leinart. I'm sure he'll have his bumps in the road but he's good some good matchups coming up and looked like the real thing Monday night.
dparsons02 0 Posted October 18, 2006 Deffinately pick up foster if he is on the waivers. I would also rather have Leinart than either of you QBs. Something else you might consider is packaging westborrk and one of the 2 recievers that you are considering dropping for something you need. That way ou get some value and have an empty roster spot. Westbrooks health concerns me but I am sure their is an owner who would make you a good deal. Example would be westbrook and moss for Holt or maybe boldin on steven jackson. The trade would depend on the situation but keep in mind that at this point westbrook is at an all time high
IndyFan 2 Posted October 18, 2006 drop both for Foster and Rivers. I would sit Westbrook given that choice. He is still dinged and Philly will get ahead early in TB - Westbrook sits second half. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245337
77jimmy 0 Posted October 18, 2006 Drop Cooley and pick up Rivers. They drop a lot of balls off to LT in the flats and Rivers makes good choices under pressure. I think Leinhart will try to do too much to avenge the Chicago loss. Thanks for mine
bearphin 0 Posted October 18, 2006 Here's my 2 cents - Moss has possibilities when his QB gets back. Then again, possibilities are worth 0 points, at least in my league! Drop him and go with someone who has a good looking matchup potential down the line Keyshawn - Hard to drop him. He will get consistant points with some killer games. I would definately start TBell this week. He should run over, around and through Cleveland, especially since Shanny has been so F'in conservative on his play calling.
