parshall2marshall 0 Posted October 25, 2006 I'm in the same situation, because I'm certainly not starting my other QB (Smith against Chicago?...yeah, right!) If Roethleotiotiooglyberger doesn't start, then I may pick Charlie Batch up off the WW.

xstang 0 Posted October 25, 2006 I want to start him, but this may be a game they may get behind. Hopefully they won't go to Cutler in the middle of a game....
FantasyChick 0 Posted October 25, 2006 I want to start him, but this may be a game they may get behind. Hopefully they won't go to Cutler in the middle of a game.... I want to start him too but now thinking of Huard in the 2 different leagues that I have Plummer in. In a link in a previous post in this thread it seems Jake has had luck against the Colts. I had Bledsoe in last week when he got yanked. It was bad, real bad. Would not be funny if it happened twice in 2 weeks to both of my QB's that are on my same team, or I should say were, since I dropped Bledsoe today for Carr. GobbleDog 826 Posted October 25, 2006 Honestly, I'm surprised Jake has done as poorly as he has this year. We know he has the talent to do better, considering those phenomenal '04 stats. I think what's happening here is back in '05 Denver started winning A LOT of game when Jake wasn't making as many passing attempts. Shanahan realizes this and is sticking with that gameplan. It's easy to execute that gameplan when the defense playes well (like it has) and you don't HAVE to throw. This year, Jake is near the bottom of the league in passing attempts among starting NFL QBs. Making things worse Jake started '06 in a slump. I believe he'll eventually start playing better and will even have an occasional big game. But Denver's gameplan will limit him from being a top 10 QB this year, IMO.
A Dido Brother 0 Posted October 25, 2006 I wasted a fairly high draft pick on him to back up Palmer in case Palmer went down. Dropped him after week 1 and never looked back. I'd recommend never starting him. Even Huard would be better. Hell, maybe even Romo.
Big_Pete 0 Posted October 25, 2006 I want to start him, but this may be a game they may get behind. Hopefully they won't go to Cutler in the middle of a game.... if the game get's out of hand in favor of indy, you very well might see that! and it may not be an "end the game with the backup" type of thing... it may last
FantasyChick 0 Posted October 25, 2006 But Denver's gameplan will limit him from being a top 10 QB this year, IMO. Hell I lost Hass in one league and Bledsoe in another and have Plummer as my back-ups in both of those leagues. I'd love a TOP 15 QB the rest of the way out from Plummer. Funny I am 7-2 in the league with Bledsoe (now Carr since I dumped Bledsoe) and Plummer.
