Ignition Technition 0 Posted December 22, 2006 Hot rumor in the Bay is Al Davis panicked when "Various" teams expressed interest in defensive coordinator Rob Ryan for thier HC position,so good old Godfather who always maintians " once a Raider always a Raider" went and canned his buddy Shell and has reputedly promised Ryan a 5 year contract as head coach ( although some say he is " in negotiations" with Cal HC Jeff Tedford) who know wtf is going on ??? I don't want Ryan as our HC, I want him as our DC. Norv Turner would have been a great coach for us were he our OC instead of our HC. Oh thats cos a few hours ago the Raiders refuted a story on nfl.com by that guy who is also a Dungver Journo saying Shell would be canned. the rumor I heard was different, it was that a few teams wanted ryan as HC, so Davis wanted to tie him to a long term deal, knowing how good asst coaches are gold dust in this league, its viable. althought I would be happier with Tedford, maybe he could bring Akili smith back as our new Plunkett Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
